These days, I like to snag one thing at every place (that's awesome) I play - like to have stuff with logos of courses I play if possible. It's usually a polo or a hat. Most nice courses have a solid selection of gear and I've typically only snagged Nike stuff, but wondering if people have thoughts on what brands they like for polos and other gear. Curious what are generally the best brands...I've found a solid fit for the most part with Nike polos, but I always see other brands like FJ, Cutter & Buck, Peter Milar etc.

So my questions are what brands do you typically like to go for when you buy at pro shops? Goin down to Sea Island and a couple other courses in the next few months I'd want to snag some token gear at.

Most of my golf apparel is Callaway, from polos and sweaters, to hats and jackets. I have a few adidas polos I've gotten as gifts as well. Both brands are really solid.

That said, I'd never buy apparel in golf shops. So over-priced.

I like the brands which offer comfort and functional features.

Shirts with sleeves that are too snug around the shoulder and arms, drive me nuts.

I prefer shirts which are made from blends of polyester/spandex (summer comfort)

Peter Millar, Footjoy, Nike, CB, Ashworth, Norman, Nicklaus are a few of my favorite brands.

I'll usually pickup a few items when on golf trips.

yup there's definitely a premium but if the course is legit enough i like to take something home. was just wondering what other good brands people like out there that are often offered in shops. i always go for the nike stuff since i trust the fit, but was just wondering if the other brands are solid. rarely see callaway stuff though.

I also used to buy something from the pro shop at nice courses with their logo. I usually try to find their clearance rack for a polo ir sweater. If not, then I get a hat/visor or something under $30. I never had a bad experience with most pro shop apparel brands but I like wicking type materials (Dri-Fit, Clima-Cool, etc) and short sleeves without elastic at the arm opening.

I'm too cheap to pay full retail for shirts and hats. I find nice golf shirts at thrift stores for like $2. I found several Nike Dri-fit golf shirts for next to nothing.

I like galvin green & j lindeberg clothing, the quality, fit, & materials they use are pretty golf specific, and although are slightly more expensive, they look well and last longer when cared for!

Travis Mathew is my favorite brand. I also like to snag a polo at great courses I've played.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
