Best way to measure iron hosel size

Hi. I need to order a bag of ferrule's for some cast stainless iron heads of different makes and models, but I have no idea how to measure the hosel on the heads. Should they all be .370? How do I know if they need the tapered .355 ferrules?

Please help.

In the bag: TaylorMade R5 Duel driver (44", Senior-flex), Namura 19* 3 Hybrid, Stiff, Cougar X-CAT 26* 5 hybrid, Wilson K-28 irons 6-PW, Wilson Harmonized Gap (52) and Sand (55) Wedges, Blade Runner II putter.

http://www.onlineconversion.com/circlesolve.htm measure the circumference, plug that into the table and the diameter is solved for you

A drill index sizing chart can also be used.

You could also find the specs of the shafts probably online.

Or, take a shaft to the golf store, they will sell you the correct size.

Typically, shafts for Woods are .335

Irons shafts are tapered and parallel .355 and I think .360

Just going off the top of the brain, best to measure or find the spec's online.

I hope this isn't too stupid a question, but do you mean the outside circumference of the hosel, or the inside (where the shaft would go)?

I'm just confused about whether the .370 and .355 refers to the shaft tip size or the size of the hosel on the head.

Male or Female, I guess would be another way of saying it.

      I agree with @pganapathy about removing some clubs. I would recommend removing the 2, 3, 4 and 5 irons for now. Play with Driver 3W 5W 3H 5H 6 iron 7 iron 8 iron 9 iron PW ( you don’t have listed) 52 56 Putter Th 60 wedge can be difficult for new players, but you could keep that If your 3H is adjustable, increased the loft to be more like a 4H. Play with these on course and see if you can get a feel of the actual yardages for each club and especially the gaps between them. It may take 10 or more rounds. A par 3 course is helpful for determining the gaps in the irons and some woods too. A device like a Shot Scope H4 can really help give you your actual yardage on course.
