Hi, I'm Steve and I'm a tweak-aholic:-)... I joined the SandTrap back in 2010 and have just returned to this great source of golf info and entertainment. I'm determined to get my game back into shape and have ordered LSW to provide a more straightforward set of swing keys than the 1,000 simultaneous swing thoughts that have caused the paralysis of analysis syndrome that characterize my current state. I'm 55 years old and play twice a week on a wide variety of muni courses in the Baltimore-Washington area. My goal is to achieve the stupid monkey zen state that MUST be a superior way of life than the alternative. I look forward to the change and am dead set on getting my golfing buddy out of my wallet by mid summer. -posted from my iPad while smoking a cigar and hoping that this snow will melt by Friday

Hey Steve- welcome back...I see your from Anne Arundel County, I grew up in Pasadena right off Duvall Hwy, and left the area a few yrs before they finally built Compass Pointe.  So I'm guessing your familiar with Diamond Ridge, Bay Hills in Arnold and all those courses down that way. Good having you, enjoy and jump right in

Hi Shawn, Thanks for the welcome. I know Pasadena pretty well as my oldest daughter lives up Edwin Raynor Blvd near Mountain Road. I've played the courses at Compass Pointe many times and as you suggest I'm familiar with Diamond Ridge. My go to tracks are The Woodlands (Diamond Ridge's big sister) or Timbers at Troy in Columbia. I used to play Ft. Meade quite a bit (I'm a Navy vet) before they closed it. If you ever make it back this way and have time for a round, reach out.

Welcome back. I used to live in Reston, VA. Do you ever play Algonkian or Brambleton? I'm itching to get back out there for a weekend and play them.

I try to play Algonkian at least once a year.  I've not played Brambleton.  I'll have to look into it though.

I remember being attacked by a one legged canadian goose at Brambleton. I really liked that course. It wasn't quite as busy as Algonkian since it was a bit further out. If I recall, Algonkian requires frequent use of mid and long irons.

Timbers at Troy from what I can remember is a beauty of a course, it's right of 95 and 100 correct? played there about 10yrs ago when I really wasn't serious about playing Golf...and also a friend of mine plays The Woodlands every week (he plays that Early Bird special) I honestly think I'll join him this season, I'm in Hanover so it's only about 45-50 mins for me...also don't know if you have played it or not but I play Oakmont Green every week, by far my favorite course in Hampstead....maybe when weather breaks I'll have to take you up on that offer and join you at 1 of those courses this year, Compass Pointe or Timbers...talk to you soon Steve
