I've been Playing Golf for: 10 years

My current handicap index or average score is: 13

My typical ball flight is: low hook

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: snap hook

Hey Guys,

I'm a 13 handicap with a good short game and strong putting game. However, I have been struggling with my long game for some time now. I struggle with a low snap hook most of the time, but I occasionally slice a few high and right as well. I can't seem to develop a consistent long game, and I am hoping to receive any input on my swing and all advice is welcomed. I believe I have a few bad habits and my swing is lacking in certain key fundamentals, but rather than elaborate on my own thoughts regarding my swing I'd like to hear thoughts from a third party perspective. Thanks guys.

-Patrick

Looks to me like the shoulder turn too flat, too level to the ground. You can see how this moves your head up and back and can certainly cause some path and contact issues. Work on feeling the left side bend down more on the backswing.

Thanks for the advice. Today I worked on steepening my shoulder angle (I was trying to focus on this for now as I don't want to try and work on too much at the same time). Do you notice an improvement here? As you can see, the ball still starts a little to the right and I am assuming the face has got to be open at impact (with an inside path). Any advice on how to square up the club more consistently? Does it look like I am getting "stuck"?

Not much. It's very early in your swing:
