Going from slow motion to faster speed.

Hey Guys,

My instructor is doing some swing changes (Of Course). How do you go from slow motion to a quicker speed?

My changes were wrist cocking so shaft is at parallel faster, right forearm on my rib cage and also have the butt of the club for outwards instead of steep.

Driver=  Titleist 913 D2 12 Deg 
Irons 3-P= Titleist 712 AP
Wedges= Titleist Vokey Spin Mill 64

Welp, you have to learn to walk, before you can run..What I did, and still do is, say for an 8 iron shot, a slow swing would be, from the take away, a count of 1001, 1002, 1003, 1003 being at impact. Of course, you can go even slower if you wanted to. To maintain a nice even tempo, and cadence for my swing, a count to 1002 works pretty well for me.

Also, you can do this with 1/2 and 3/4 shots to get a good cadence. Oh, and helps if you count it out aloud.

Welcome to the site.

I would suggest you just gradually pick up the speed. If you feel like you're swinging at 30% speed when you practice, make some swings at 60%, then some at 80%, etc. When you go to full speed there will be some regression, some of the old habits will still be there but the overall motion will be better.
