They are incorporating their velocity slot through the line.  They do make good GI equipment.  My wife has Adams clubs.

Adams Golf returning to game-improvement roots

The new Adams Golf seems to be taking a page from the old Adams Golf.

“Barney Adams started this company with the idea of helping the average golfer get the ball up and forward,” says John Ward, president of Adams. “As I heard from all the employees, he used to walk around the office and keep saying over and over again, ‘Up and out, up and out.”

The emphasis of the company’s new line, called Blue, is heavy on game improvement. How vital to the company is the idea of helping more average golfers get shots up in the air? It’s so fundamental that designers developed three distinct technologies to produce that single result. The Adams Blue line will include a driver ($300), fairway woods ($200), hybrids ($180) and irons ($700 in steel, $800 in graphite). Each features a slot in the sole to provide more face flexibility and each features a center of gravity moved away from the face for high launch and extra spin to maintain that flight on both on-center and off-center impacts. That’s a departure from Adams’ big brother TaylorMade, which emphasizes a low-forward center of gravity.

This is exactly what I expected. I had a conversation with a Taylormade rep sometime during the winter and one of the things he told me was that Taylormade was going to be aimed more towards better golfers (mid to low HC) and Adams will be for high handicap players.

I heard same thing at a recent Golf Expo: TM would be for competitive golfers, Adams for recreational golfers. A rival has adopted this splitout: Srixon for competitive golfers, Cleveland for recreational golfers (I'm not sure who gets the wedge line)..

There will likely always be some cross over just to appease the existing customer base.  The problem I see with this strategy is that with the "recreational golfers" designation, Adams and Cleveland could see a major decline in sales because even recreational golfers like to play the brands they see the pro's use.

      Just want to share a quick update with everyone. I went to the range the week before last, even though I took it easy no significant pain occurred just a slight twinge when I swung my #4 hybrid. The most encouraging news was no soreness the next morning. However I think switching back to graphite shafts is definitely gonna happen, my mp15's were fitted with X shafts and having something lighter will help.
