Imho, I don't think it's exclusively a print vs digital. It's also the easy availability of porn, makes MSM (mainstream media) have to one up even more.

I think the Paulina cover in her workout clothes was more tasteful. Show her lifting some dumbbells or something which would at least sync up a little with the article tag line. So she hits it farther than us cuz she takes saunas and slicks back her hair?

I guess it is just a sign of the times.  Whether you like it or not "sex sells" and it is difficult to blame a struggling business (Golf Digest) from exploiting that fact to enhance their sales.  I have to wonder however if this sort of exposure (no pun intended)  it is in the interest of the LPGA in gaining respect for their athlete's abilities.  Some of them are "really good" golfers and some of them are really easy on the eyes and some are both.  But somehow I get the feeling that the awareness of the abilities of the LPGA players in not enhanced by this sort of advertising.  But then I guess you have to get people to look before you can get them to see what you have (again no pun intended).

There is an excellent ESPN Doco about the women in sport/sex/advertising/sponsorship dollar thing. I think it is was called "Branded".

I can thoroughly recommend it because it throws a lot of light on the subject.

There is no picture of Rory without a shirt.

And that's the point. Lexi shirtless but never Rory shirtless.
