Whats your most memorable moment on the golf course this year?

Mine was winning the club championship. Also, I liked having a bogey free round for the first time.

Easy one for me. I birdied three holes in a row (6,7 & 8) and made a 10 footer for par on 9 for my best round ever at +1.

I was a guest at my buddy's Country Club for the annual 3 Day Member-Guest (it's their biggest tourney of the year).

The moment was the last day...in a playoff for our mini-flight. On the second playoff hole (an uphill straightaway par 5) I sprayed my drive way right. I mean waaaaaay right. Maybe 60 yards to the right but pretty deep. Incredibly, the playoff referee found the ball past some trees, a drainage ditch, a maintenance shed, and more trees, on the neighboring fairway. I had a semi-clear shot up to my fairway.

I hit a 215 yard 4 iron uphill, working it around a tree on the right side of my fairway, across the fairway, landing in the left rough leaving me a 100 yard downhill shot.

I hit a SW slightly right and beyond the hole in the light rough. Our competitor blasted out of a greenside bunker to 16 feet and was lying 4. With the spinklers on in full force , I chipped a down hill 15 footer to about 1 foot, made my putt for a wild 5. Our competitor missed his putt.

We won, which was especially sweet since it was against the defending winners of our flight from the year before, who had beat us handily that time.

We asked around and nobody had ever heard of anyone hitting a drive that far right with distance. I can honestly say that even SkyCaddy wasn't much help. It was an amazing recovery.

In no particular order: Shooting a 37 on the most penal nine holes in all of Kentucky, watching my father's hole in one, getting a 21 on a single hole then being four under the next three holes, and all two of my chip-in's.

playing a 4 man scramble with only 3 guys and we came in 2nd with a 60.
of the 60 shots 45 were mine and the winning team had a pro and 2 ringers. there were no mulligans or tricks or hcps. just net scores... I had so many shots that were just magic. 60ft birdie, sandy hole out. if this is what the pros mean by being in the zone, then thats what it for sure. even though we didn't win it, it still was the best day of golf this yr.
oh yeah, the 200.00 made it a little better too....lol

After a 5 year layoff and playing my third round, I called and hit a 5 iron knock down shot into the wind from 150 pin high and made the putt for birdie. That was so sweet.

For me it was an eagle during a scramble I played in with over a hundred golfers. Big par 5 dogleg right, I hit a huge drive, crushed a 4 iron 10 feet below the hole and sank the eagle putt.

Always enjoy playing with my son and his friends who are all single digit handicappers and a couple who can really bomb it (including my son)! With that said; after some lessons and making changes to my driver/ shaft combination, I out-drove my son two times this season, in the fairway!!!!! I know it's a small thing but I enjoyed the look on his face after he walked past his ball and got to mine. He was happy for me and then whipped me bad in score, but that's ok- I want him too.

Life's simple pleasures!!
