It's going to be VERY difficult for him to Hold on. 21 yrs old, never been here before. Remember everyone said how Rory looked so calm going into Sunday, and that was that a few yrs ago. If he can shoot even par tomorrow, I say he is in good shape.

I hope he does. Will be a nice payday for me :) But seriously, the advantage he has is that he was here last year, and the last 5 months he's been winning and has been in the hunt almost every Sunday. The guy hasn't shot more than two bad rounds since last years PGA. I feel like someone will have to come from behind and catch him. His experience though of being in contention every single week will help him this weekend.

He has such a big lead. As of right now it is hard to bet against him. He could shoot even par and still have a 3-4 stroke lead depending on how others play.

Spieth does tend to play better early in tournaments. He's in the top 10 in scoring, but outside the top 35 in scoring for the 3rd and 4th rounds.

I will not vote right now because I do not like the options. I think he comes back down to earth a bit.

He averages 65% GIR normally, he's +10% for the first two rounds. He's kinda started to regress back a bit after that first round which was really above his norm.

I think he'll shoot about -1 or -2 tomorrow. I think a few guys still have a very good round in them. I think he'll end up with a 3 stroke lead going into the final round.

For me I would vote "Yes, he plays good not great, doesn't blow the lead but holds on to win on Sunday"

Is this dated last year?

He led the Masters last year with about 11 holes to go.

And you just made my point. Thank you!

Wasn't he only leading by one stroke last year? As someone else said, even par will probably win it for him at this point.

I know a lot are rooting against him just so we get an exciting weekend, but the game of golf needs a player like this. I hope he goes low this weekend and blows the field away. The game needs it right now.

I can't see why the game NEEDS a player to dominate the whole sport. It's always more interesting and exciting when there are several players in the running.

Really?  He didn't even choke last year. Speith went 71-70-70-72 last year, completely consistent throughout the tournament. Bubba gets the props a great final round. Jordan shoots even par in the final pairing in the final round against a former Champion and you think he'll have trouble doing it tomorrow? The guy is plenty tough.

Have you seen the ratings this year? Parity does not gain viewers. Dominance does. Tiger proved that over the years.

Best case scenario is TWO dominate forces with different temperaments, think Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi. Fans are most enthusiastic with polarizing figures.

Spieth is the mentally toughest player we've seen since Tiger in his prime. You look at him compared to Rory and he's essentially the anti-Rory. Rory has infinitely more physical talent and ability than him, but Jordan is infinitely tougher between the ears. It's really shaping up to be a unique and interesting rivalry. I think he wins...don't know if he 'runs away and hides' because the likes of DJ and/or Phil might have the fire power to stay in touch, but I do think he wins by 2-4 shots on Sunday.

Really? He lost the Masters last year. He has failed to hold on to tournaments this year. It is easy to say a player is mentally tough when they are playing good golf.

Yeah that's why he has 3 wins since December.

Was what I said accurate? Yes. I did not say he has not won other events. He has lost some too despite having the lead after 54+ holes.
