Hitting driver on the heel .?

I consistently hit my driver on the heel, mid way up on the face .It creates so much spin the ball goes no where  .One pro said get a shorter shaft from the factory .do not cut  the shaft because it become stiffer .Any suggestion to hit it more to center or even the toe

There could be several reason as to why, but I'll offer one. If, operative word here "if" you bring the club inside on the back swing, you may be standing to close to the ball at address.

I think this is a common miss the size of today's driver put the sweet spot an inch and a half further out from the shaft than any other club. My advice would be to focus on returning the shaft to the same position it was at address instead of throwing it out towards the ball.

      Ok, it's been a while, but I finally got the 18th hole! It was the only one left over from last year and it took 14 months, but I got it today. It is a slight dogleg right, plays 425 up to an elevated green into the prevailing wind. Playing slightly up, I hit driver and had about 160 into the green. Hit 6 iron to 4 feet and with a straight uphill putt made it center cut! Now I can stop thinking about that hole!  All I have left this year is 5, 15, and 17.  Let's Go!

      Well, Rory nipped those rumors in the bud: Rory McIlroy: 'I'll play the PGA Tour for the rest of my career' - world number two dismisses LIV Golf link Rory McIlroy says he will play on the PGA Tour "for the rest of my career" as he quashes rumours of him making a big-money move to LIV Golf. I suppose you never know, but it's a stark contrast from how, for example, Cam Smith handled the rumors. Feeling much better about this today.
