Year-round golf weather, cheap real estate, and no state income tax. Next question.

Besides that, I think pros like to live near each other because they play each other to practice, and gamble, probably more to gamble.

If that was the case, Phil wouldn't be living in California.

Phil still lives in California? Why? The weather is not significantly better than in Phoenix, and it certainly isn't worth the premium someone of his income level has to pay to live here.

Probably can't go to a restaurant there without running into one.

Have you ever been to the palm beach counties? Pretty nice place with amazing golf. (And the aforementioned tax benefits.)

The problem with living in Florida is, you know, Florida.

What's your problem with Florida??

Maybe you're joking?

San Diego Average High Temperature

June 71

July 75

Aug 76

Phoenix Average High Temperature

June 104

July 106

Aug 104

And Phil does pay a big premium.  The top tax bracket in Ca. is 13.3%, and most of Phil's income falls in that bracket.

Half joking. I really like the weather one gets in Phoenix in the summer. I totally understand that this is not a universally held opinion.

I spent a week in Phoenix in july a few yrs ago....never again in the summer. 110 plus all week....

Its not for everyone ... grew up on the Texas coast ... I will take the no humidity any day.

Same here, for me 110 in the desert is better than 90 with humidity.

I have lived in Houston all my life and played several summers of baseball and I went to Phoenix for a week for baseball a few years back during the summer and would take Phoenix any day. 110 in Phoenix felt like 85 in Houston during the summer.
