Anyone going to watch the Derby?  I still love Horse Racing, especially the Big Races.  On my bucket list to go one year.

American Pharoah is the one I like the best (of course he is the favorite), Dortmund is another that looks good heading into the race.

Carpe Diem, Firing Line and Frosted have also getting a lot of love.

These five might be in my Exacta Box bet.

I went to the Derby in 1983 and was in the infield.  What a fun day!  The funny things was when the race finally started, we could only see the top 1/4 of the horse and riders because of all the people at the fence.  We couldn't even see the numbers.

My wife and I usually watch the race on TV, but not all the pre-race stuff.

I love the Derby, and I would love to go one day in person, but it is a lot of fun to watch at home as well.

I usually only care to follow horse racing when there is a chance at the triple crown.

I went to the Derby in 1983 and was in the infield.  What a fun day!  The funny things was when the race finally started, we could only see the top 1/4 of the horse and riders because of all the people at the fence.  We couldn't even see the numbers.

My wife and I usually watch the race on TV, but not all the pre-race stuff.

Sounds like my attempt when i was in the infield at the Preakness in Baltimore, I believe it was 98.  it was the time that someone from the infield jump onto the track while the horses were coming down the stretch and tried to punch the horse.

Still remember the guys dragging a 30 gallon trash bucket full of beer to take with them.

But you really couldn't see anything.

I remember that the gates to the infield had US Marines checking our bags for booze.  And yet, I saw kegs inside!  I guess the Marines were being easy on us!  We did the old, 'sneak white wine in the Ginger Ale bottle' trick.  There were selling mint juleps, but they were nasty bad and expensive.  I stayed sober because it was long day.

Nobody in the infield at the Preakness was sober but me and a few others.  I had some drinks, they sold beer inside, but good god everyone else was wasted.  I think I walked over a floor of beers cans to get out of that place when all the races were over. It was a crazy day.

Ha! I've been to the infield at the derby a couple times. We did the take some out put some vodka in using a syringe, hot glue gun and big bottles of hi-c fruit punch. The infield is where it is at, I doubt I would go just for the horses!

      Just want to share a quick update with everyone. I went to the range the week before last, even though I took it easy no significant pain occurred just a slight twinge when I swung my #4 hybrid. The most encouraging news was no soreness the next morning. However I think switching back to graphite shafts is definitely gonna happen, my mp15's were fitted with X shafts and having something lighter will help.
