hey all, my set of irons came with a pitching wedge, approach wedge and I have a 60 degree wedge that I love. I was wondering which degree wedge should i buy next in order to hit some shots from the fairway around the green from about 50-75 yards? any thoughts.

Two completely separate points:

1) You should get a sand wedge that fits in between your gap wedge and your lob wedge. Usually that's about a 56°, but could be a 54° subject to what the loft and distance of your gap wedge are. Most wedges in those lofts come with high bounce already, but you definitely want to make sure you get something in the 10°-14° range. Unless you use the 60° out of the sand.

2) You really have the wedges you need for that distance shot. Most people aren't hitting full shots from that distance. If I need to hit a shot in those distances, I'll take my sand wedge or gap wedge and hit it some % of what I think of is full. Like, you could use your pitching wedge for each of those distances if you just practiced it (and you should).

You should read this thread for more about that:

kind of off topic but how cool is the new callaway phil mickelson grind?

Hate the look of the wedge from the front. From the back, it's magnificent

What lofts are the pitching and approach wedges?
