So, what do you think? Be honest.

P.S. Not that everyone here is average… and I had no real idea what to put for poll answers. I think they're terrible for information, but they're endlessly amusing , so does that make them good or bad? :)

I voted "watch for laughs" I remember Faldo talking about how important it was for player X to keep his belt buckle level through impact. The player proceeded to extend (bat signal to the sky) and tattoo a beautiful high draw right down the middle. Faldo followed up by saying he wasn't crazy about the players shoes. Ha ha. I like Faldo, bit of a clown.

My wife wonders why I watch golf on mute. This is one of the reasons why. And Peter Kostis.

I like it. Sure the commentary is terrible, especially when Miller is in the booth, but seeing the ball come off at impact is always awesome. I've searched all through youtube trying to find the Swing vision they once did with Tiger hitting a long putt. It has an amazing close up of the ball after contact where the ball just floats a quarter inch over the ground for about a foot with absolutely zero rotation on the ball until it touches the earth and instantly begins rolling end over end.

I probably learn more about terminology by listening to commentators, but frequently disagree with their points. However, I love that the slow-mo becomes available on YouTube for looking at certain players by myself or for use in a more comprehensive and detailed swing analysis by someone else.

I voted meh.  What a pro is doing has little implication for my own personal swing.  So when I watch golf I tend to have more of a result focus than a process focus.

But I certainly can see for players at other stages of their lives with more lofty goals for their own games than I have for mine might find it interesting.  I do not really mind them, I just don't get much if anything out of them personally.

I would much rather they expand the use of the pro-tracer and extend its use onto the greens and into the short shots occasionally.  And do lots more long shots.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

I voted for horrible because the analyses are your typical "he pulled is because he came over the top" or "he released it nicely to draw it" type of information with the average Joe watching at home thinking the information is correct because the commentators are "experts".

Nice video, thanks. Seeing this was a real eye opener back when I first saw it some time ago.

I also voted horrible for the exact same reason.

I vote for "Meh." I enjoy seeing the swings slowed down, but don't put much weight on what the announcers are saying.

I voted meh because I like watching the video and ignore what they have to say.  The video is really good and the commentary is very inconsistent at best.

"Meh" for me ... I like to see it in slow-mo, bout really don't "listen" to what is said. Typically I multitask while watching golf ... not like things are happening super fast, and you blink and you miss it.

Johnny Miller can be annoying when the video plays and then he says see what's happening .... right there! What? I missed it. And he's repetitve, hitting down, trap draw, etc.. Kostis seems to really like making the telestrator lines match up and look cool. I wouldn't want the job of commenting on swings even if I were a swing expert. Have to make something up on the spot, camera angles are bad, a swing that's a mistake looks like every other swing, it's not easy, but the analysts are being paid pretty well, at least they should prepare but I'm sure they don't and wing it. That said, I enjoy watching all sorts of swings in slow motion HD. When I'm trying to convince newbies where the low point is, some of these vids is all I need.
