In the past, we have used governments at all levels to create this segregation. Most of us want our government to be there to protect our rights to live wherever we want and ensure justice and equality in opportunities, but sadly, our history is one where we actively used our government to put in place this segregation that today we find so objectionable. It's a compelling interview.

I can see that happening in the south back before the Civil Rights movements. Today I doubt this is a very common.

I do think today it is more economical over actual segregation.

I agree re: today it being more economics than actual segregation. At the 7:00 mark for a few minutes, they discuss that.

The interviewee makes a good case that we should not think this was a case of only being in the South. He makes a compelling argument that even those "good" northerners were aggressive in their segregation policies. There is history with those "Levittowns" and public housing projects that was quite discriminatory, and deliberately so.

But after my priority pieces I hit a few drives and tugged them all hard left. .... Uh... oh boy.  So, I spent about a half hour trying to hit targets at the range with my driver.
