So I've been gaming my 52 and 60 wedges for several years now, and my 56 has about 14 months on it. All are showing signs of good wear and have lost their zip on the greens. I used to hit a shot 15 ft past the flag and it would zip back a bit. Now I'm lucky if the ball checks where it lands.

With that said, my wedges have been great to me, but I'm looking to order a full set (52-56-60) and want them stamped and cool ferrels/grips/shafts.

I looked at score, edel, vokey, and hopkins, but am having a hard time deciding. I liked edel, but they dont offer a black finish from what I can see. If I cant get the stamping I want done Ill just get a kit and do it myself.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you explored the Hopkins site? You can order their wedges with either a black satin or a satin chrome finish.

Their site offers some tips on selecting wedges, which you then buy and test.

https://hopkinsgolf.com/cj1-select-set.php

Scor offers their ScorFit menu program to recommend a wedge mix to you. (But, I would want to test them before buying.) http://www.scorgolf.com/

Your decision might be easier if you first did homework on what you want. Then, find a demo day, and hit some wedges in person. (I don't think Hopkins and Scor do demo days. Anyone know for sure?)

Edel and Vokey have more traditional fittings at golf shops.

Edel, from what I understand, can do anything with any stamping if you have the $$$ and are willing to spend it.

They do black. See?

They don't show it on the online ordering.

From the gallery ...

What makes Edel special is that you can have a wedge with lots of glide (bounce) and the leading edge is still low to the ground offering you the ability to play any shot your imagination wants. Get personally fit. Email the Edel people as to what you want.

I've ordered custom Vokey's from their site.  The website is very similar to Hopkins in that you can completely customize the wedges from shafts, grips, stampings, grind, loft, lie, etc.

Nice! I like that Hopkins lets u try them out and return if you don't like them.

That's nice, but I'd rather get personally fit and know I like them. Who wants to deal with a return?

Ask yourself one question… do you care about the best FIT, or do you want a black wedge? :)

Haha of course I want the best fit. I was lucky enough that the titleist rep was in today and he was able to fit me for a new 52* 8 bounce vokey. He said my current 56 & 60 had plenty of life left in them and gave me his card so I could get fit when the time comes.
