Family tournament format recommendations

We have a family tournament twice a year.  Each branch of the family fields a 2-person team.  Group A has won both events so far.  We have played straight scrambles.  The first two groups have been three strokes apart each event, but group C was 10 back at yesterday's event.  The team composition is:

Team A:  (Father\son team)

Player 1:  Avid golfer. 12-14 handicap.

Player 2:  Regular golfer.  15-20 handicap.

Team B:  (Husband\wife team)

Player 1:  Avid golfer.  10-12 handicap.

Player 2:  (Female) Plays 2 times a year.  Shoots around 95-110.

Team C:  (Father\son team)

Player 1 & 2:  Plays 5-6 times a year.  Shoots 95-110.  Long but wayward.

I'm looking for recommendations on how to make things more enjoyable\competitive for group C.  Any recommendations are welcomed.

Mix up the teams?

Alternatively, play a modified stableford scoring event.  Like The International used to have.  This definitely favors lower handicaps, because they can make plenty of pars that count as birdie points.

EDIT--In a 2 man scramble.  Still definitely helps in individual play, too.

The teams are made of each sibling, so we can't mix those up.  I'll look into the modified stable ford.

It definitely helps higher handicaps.  I used to do it with my mom and dad in our three player match play rounds, but she kept destroying us.

      Just want to share a quick update with everyone. I went to the range the week before last, even though I took it easy no significant pain occurred just a slight twinge when I swung my #4 hybrid. The most encouraging news was no soreness the next morning. However I think switching back to graphite shafts is definitely gonna happen, my mp15's were fitted with X shafts and having something lighter will help.
