More orange than I'm used to seeing in a golf course. Irish Open coming up. Just click on play, it'll open in a new window/tab.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

That's cool. It would have been cooler if more of the course was visible (they seemed to focus on that par three).

The orange stuff is actually more yellow and is the gorse, yes?

The orange (or yellow, I agree that's more accurate) stuff is indeed gorse.  While its rather attractive when in bloom, gorse is a malevolent, evil, thorny shrub of immense strength and resilience.  Its thorns are incredibly sharp, and stick out well past the blossoms.  Can you tell I've hit a few balls into the gorse in my life??

Also called Furze on that side of the Irish Sea. Smells nice in bloom too - like coconut, but a large bush or patch is effectively a water hazard as far as I'm concerned.
