They have about 8 or so different models of grips... which ones do you have?

If they are the i-line grips, then those will wear more quickly on the thumb ... just like Iomics.

I just installed some UTx and Wrap Tech grips on my clubs. As soon as the rain stops...

They say crossline on the butt of the grip. Is that the ones that wear quicker?

Are those a new model or counterfeits or something...and I don't see any wear marks.. I've played the full cord for quite some time and never see any wear marks... I do tend to see high variance in sizes colors and shapes between the cross lines though

They're not counterfeit grips. I think I've discovered it's just that there are dark dots or something in clusters of the x grip parts which are making it look dark. Hopefully you can see what I mean.

The Lamkin Crossline is an iconic grip -- people love them. I'd be surprised if they wore out soon.

My Crosslines and Ace Gens would last a couple of years if cared for...

Would not worry about the little darker cluster of black on white.

I've owned Iomics that would wear after a couple of range sessions -- if that is causing you troubles, you'd collapse with Iomics.

Could it be as simple as dirt/sweat from your hands?

Wipe those things off and see.

Depends on conditions.

The hotter and sweatier your hands, the more frequently you must clean grips.

1. Lamkin has a product called Gripes that many people like - it's easy and disposable - like a damp wipe with cleaning agents. I think it is $5.95 for a box.

2. I have used a product called Clean and Tacky when the grips have been through a couple of sweaty range sessions --  2 sprays on the grip, use a nylon brush to scrub, rinse with water, and wipe with a towel.

3. Simple cleaning -  I've heard of Windex, Formula 409, Simple Green - a spray, scrub, rinse and dry.

4. Simplest - water and a wipe after a session. But go to one of the above, and at least a scrub with a brush once every couple of weeks depending on play.

More frequent cleaning will help your grips last.
