I'm getting fitted for the titleist d3.the stock shaft I got fitted for is diamana white board 70 and it launches so good.the question is can a stock shaft be as good as a properly fitted aftermarket shaft considering the extra cost of the aftermarket option.

The Diamana Whiteboard in the Titleist driver is the same one they (Diamana) sell for $300 as an aftermarket shaft. Besides, it's not the price that matters on a shaft, but the performance. If you get good numbers, stick with it.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

  • 1 month later...

Hi, I was at the Boeing Classic as a Volunteer my position was at the TEE BOX I could watch every Pro (in the pro am today)

hit his drive, I mostly watched the driver it self and what equipment they each used, You could see very clear the driver head

was one of the latest driver manufactures, Callaway, Taylor Made, Titleist, etc, etc.

The difference was (by looks) all the shafts were not stock shafts, nothing crazy long or short but not the shaft the club comes

to for NORMAL people

My question is, what are they doing, getting perfectly fit fir a BEST shaft by the manufacture?

These guys (senior tour) hit the ball a very long distance with ease.

How can I get fit for a driver with the same effort by a fitter?

(please don't tell me to go to a PGA professional they will just select something and say that's it)

Philip
