I've been Playing Golf for: 25 years My current handicap index: +1 My typical ball flight is: Pull fade (or working towards) The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Push [rule] Videos: Working on a natural pull-fade to eliminate a push Ive been struggling with from time to time, a result of getting stuck under the swing plane. When i try to cover the ball more and hit that fade I feel like I get more pressure on the ball and a more efficient power transfer. Anyone have any good drills? BR David

Welcome to the site David. This swing doesn't look stuck or under plane to me.

If anything I'd think you'd be better off shallowing things on the downswing. I know you're trying to hit pull cuts but I think the club is coming in too steep, club gets slightly outside the hands in the second pic (not something you see with tour players) and then you throw the wrists at it.

Another couple examples.

Ahh. OK I see. The swing above I was really trying hard to get a pull-fade so maybe that comes of as steeper than normal. I had recently played a tournamedt there and had great problems with leaving it right, the kind of shot when it feels like the ball just "glides" of the face. I played a couple of seasons on the Challenge Tour in the past and back then I played with a clear fade bias. I feel that I get more consistent flight and length control that way. I have never been a digger, always pretty shallow divots. The last couple of seasons ive been hitting a draw and been noticing a much lower ball flight with trouble stopping long irons on the greens.

Anyway i need to find som kind of drill that will enable me to swing more left with less release.

Here are som other pics where i swing more from the inside. Trackman numbers are anywhere from 3-5 degrees inside and swing direction on the + side I would rather see swing direction on -.

Ive been looking at these swings. Tell me what think.

@Dajo321 , I agree with @mvmac , and in fact we talked about this last night. But I'm going to go about this a bit differently.

In trying to swing left you're going to have to make some compensations and it's going to affect some things. In this case, you'll see that your compensations involve the overtaking rate of the clubhead and AoA. Teeny minor stuff, but things that can get a bit better fairly simply.

You can hit a fade by aiming a bit left too but still swinging "out" a little relative to your body alignment. In trying to swing left I think you throw the clubhead at the ball just a little bit - your right arm straightens a little prematurely, the overtaking rate is higher and the right wrist throws and rolls over a little early, etc.

I'd prefer to see you hit fades by controlling this more with your hips and lower body. It's a bit "manipulated" right now.

This video has a drill that I'd like to see you do:

It should feel powerful and that power should come from the left hip working LEFT and UP more through the hit. Let that do what it will do to the path, you'll feel that your hands are being "carried" a bit more by the hip and core action. If you could "pull" the ball with the path, this may feel like that is happening.

To what Mike said, don't go steeper, or you're just going to continue to have issues with AoA and path and consistency of start lines, etc.
