The Old White TPC has been the Greenbrier’s host ever since the tournament replaced the Buick Open on the schedule in 2010.

The Old White TPC features a par-3 finishing hole measuring 175 yards. The first three winners of the tournament birdied it in the final round. Stuart Appleby not only won the inaugural edition in 2010 with a 2, but it secured just the fifth 59 (of six) in PGA TOUR history. Both Scott Stallings (2011) and Ted Potter, Jr. (2012) connected for birdies on the final hole of regulation, and then survived playoffs for their maiden titles. Both Blixt and Cabrera parred the closer before walking off with the trophy.

Also Tiger's in the field.

Quote:
"We’ve got to have Tiger," Jim Justice, owner of the Greenbrier, said after Woods committed to playing at his tournament for the first time since 2012, according to Roanoke.com . "Tiger is one of the biggest stars in all of sport, and he brings significant attention to any event he enters."
Certainly, "taking the waters" in White Sulphur Springs, W. Va., couldn’t hurt the struggling superstar, who may want to try something new to revive his sputtering career after he posted the highest 36-hole score of his career at Chambers Bay and missed his first U.S. Open cut since 2006.

They should have paired Woods Daly and Weir. That would have been hilarious. :-D

Damn, I thought I saw his name in the field. :-( Woods, Daly and Singh?

That's not fair to Ol' Vijay, he's like a million years old. :-D Maybe Justin Leonard! You know, I really don't know why, but when I google "Justin Leonard" I get a bunch of a pictures of a dude in underwear. I really hope it's not just me

May not be the best place for this comment, but didn't want to start another thread........I have been watching the PGA Professional National Championship the last few days and while I know these guys are all very accomplished golfers, the talent difference between them and PGA Tour players is substantial....this is more of a statement of just how good PGA Tour players really are compared to the rest of the crop.

Anyway.........I will take Tiger against JD, and am calling for Tiger to put two consecutive rounds in the 60s to start.......68-69...............JD shoots 72-71

I'd watch for Ryo Ishikawa to have a good tourney,he still needs to qualify for the Open..

Tiger playing with Stricker should make him feel comfortable.Love to see Daly do well, depends if he turns up hungover or not????

I'm looking for Bubba to play well, he has a home on the course. He said that he enjoys sleeping in his own bed and getting up to play..Gonna be some major bills dropped in the casino apparently Shaq is going to show up.

The atmosphere is very college football tailgate. Swap out your WVU hat and put on your Callaway

I started him today in fantasy golf but I'm a little worried about his putting today. He putts mediocre on soft slow greens...always leaves it short. Kind of wish I would have started Bill Haas but whatevs.

Tiger -2 through 6. Of course he's playing well when we don't have live cameras on him :(

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
