I am looking for some good feedback on this club... I currently use an R1. I am thinking of getting this club with the Project X 52 Tour shaft.

Any feedback would be great..

Thanks

Exactly the same as me! read lots of good advice related to this driver, but want to read the opinion of people here. I need a new driver with a regular shaft (the one I own now has a stiff one) and I´m between the Fly Z and The Nike Vapor Speed...

Thanks !

Once i get some range time i will let you know..

I just got fitted for this driver, I was really consistent with it, it was between the g30 and the fly z. And I really was just more consistent with the fly z shaft combo, going to go play tomorrow, I still have a lot to work on with my swing but I was hitting them well.

I have the fly z+ and love it.  Before the fly z+ I was using a Titleist 915.  I feel a lot more comfortable with the Fly z+.  The fly z+ has added some distance to my shots, and it reduced my spin a tad bit.  This might be due to how much I've been working on my swing though.  Over all I think it's a really good driver.  You should demo it and see if you like it.

58: Nike VR Vx3x Grooves, Toe Sweep
Putter: Odyssey Versa

I got the regular fly z with the matrix shaft in stiff. and I really like it so far. it's really consistent for me and I dont loose a lot of distance on mis-hits. I had the regular bio-cell last year and did not like it or the feel of it very much, I like the look and feel of the fly z a lot better. Cobra's really put out some good drivers the last few years.

Sorry No I didn't get a chance.. Had some Medical issues with my Dog and he takes priority over golf..

However my Fly Z 3/4 & 5/7 woods came in today.. so now I can review the whole package this weekend..

I promise to give you a heads up when I hit the range and course this Saturday..

Played 18 today with mine and I haven't been a great driver, but today I hit 90% fareways, I think I missed 1 and it wasn't by much, I also averaged 210, my average at the beginning of the year was 169!

Ok as promised..

Just a quick catch up.. I live in Italy with no real golf stores or places to try clubs.. so I go on advice on these forums and what I read..

So I started off buying the Fly Z driver with Project X 52 Tour shaft in Reg flex.

before I even received the club I went and bought the 3/4 and 5/7 fly z fairway

They all came in and I went to Aviano AFB to play today..

Warmed up on the driving range with my 7 iron.. then decided to hit the 3 wood from the grass.

First hit went straight as an arrow.. very low trajectory so I upped the loft to 14.5 then all was good.. hit about 15 balls all were really straight and pretty long.

Did the same with the 5 wood then the driver.. Every club was fire and forget..

Played 27 holes today.. Did pretty well with the clubs.. I just have to get use to the lengths.. I hit a 3 wood 20 yards over a par 3 that I normally come up short using my jet speeds. maybe lower trajectory has something to do with it..

Every drive was right down the middle, I did have some leak into the first cut but nothing like when I was using my R1.. most of these came after the first 18.. it was 100 today on the course..

Bottom line these clubs are fantastic.. I would recommend them to anyone that may be a middle to higher capper..

I will have a good chance this coming weekend to try them out for real... The Americans are playing the Italians in a 3 day Ryder cup format.. believe it or not I made the team..

Should be a blast..

Between getting these woods going down the middle and my new Futura X  that has yet to see a three put,, My Cap should drop lock a rock..

I have had the Fly Z driver and 3 wood since may and very happy with it. Standard R shaft and so far seems to work for me. Very forgiving unless you put a real pig of a swing on it. Length not noticeably more than my very old driver, though I have not been playing regularly the past few years, so in part the swing more than the stick. Seems to almost be fighting to keep the ball on line.

Also well pleased with the 3 wood and it is noticeably longer than the old Nike Machspeed it replaced.

I tried them compared to the Vapor Speed, G30 and was most consistent with the Fly Z Driver

So I've played with my fly z about 5 rounds now I think. I've gone from averaging about 190 with the sldr up to averaging 212 with the fly z. Fairway percentage is still about the same, but when I miss a fairway with the fly z it is normally about 5 yards off instead of 10 or 15 yards. Very forgiving club, so far really happy with it. I'm hoping with some more swing work to get my average up to 230 by the end of the year and up my fairway % from the 55% it is now to 60 or 65.

i am not a cobra guy at all but ended up with a fly z driver.  it's super forgiving and the sound is pure.  i took a G30 out of the bag for this one.

I think Cobra has made a great work with the Fly Z. I´m looking to buy a Cobra Fly Z Hybrid or the Taylor SLDR Hybrid with is cheap now. My only concern is that the SLDR hybrid looks more complicated to hit, I read in the review on Sand Trap that this is a better-player hybrid... So maybe, for me is more suitable the Cobra Fly Z...  Could anyone help me with this???

I demoed the Cobra in a sim. Drivers are not like any other club  -- they look similar yet different, are of similar size but different as to depth, the internal design is different, different COG, MOI, weight forward/back different materials, different weight, shafts different but they may be more similar, length is 45-46 inches.

What happens is we think they are all the same but they end up being very different.

I did not get along with the FlyZ or Z+, liked the Callaway V Series, did not like the Callaway XR, liked the Callaway 815, did not like the Ping G30... Weird.

Glad you found your true love with the FlyZ ... lots of people like it.
