Taylormade RocketBladez vs Tommy Armour 845 Silver Scots

So my current clubs are Taylormade RocketBladez and recently I haven't been hitting them straight like I used to. I've been through 7 lessons with them and the instructor says that it's a swing issue and he's been giving me small tweaks every time that never have a full fix. Today my dad and I went golfing and the story remained the same. I couldn't hit them. So on the last hole my dad wanted to try them to see how he hits them, and the same thing happens. He can't hit them. My dads a pretty good golfer with a handicap of 7 and he hits good shots, not extreme distance wise, but good shots. So he told me to try his, which he said were Game Enhancement clubs but he wasn't quite sure if they were players clubs. I hit all but one perfect. The only mis-hit I had was one that popped up and landed too short. Is there a reason why I'm hitting the Tommy Armour 845 Silver Scot Irons Game Enhancement clubs way better than my taylormade game improvement clubs? Did I outgrow the need for forgiving clubs?

The Rocketbladez are excellent clubs. I'm inclined to believe your instructor that it's a swing issue. It sounds like you had some success with the Tommy Armours, but in a small sample size. Post a swing video in the member swings forum, but unless there's an issue between the iron sets like length being notably longer in the TMs or lie being way off, I wouldn't immediately suspect the clubs.

The clubs haven't changed so no need to but the blame on them.

Did I outgrow the need for forgiving clubs?

Many pros still use very forgiving models.

The Rocketbladez are excellent clubs. I'm inclined to believe your instructor that it's a swing issue. It sounds like you had some success with the Tommy Armours, but in a small sample size. Post a swing video in the member swings forum, but unless there's an issue between the iron sets like length being notably longer in the TMs or lie being way off, I wouldn't immediately suspect the clubs.

If it really was a swing issue wouldn't it just amplify with the less forgiving clubs? My dad even said that when he swings my Taylormades the club face seems to almost open itself when he swings, have you ever heard of that before?

UPDATE: Went to the range after buying the least forgiving forged club I could find and had similar results, hit the club extremely well drawing every time. switched back to my club and I kept pushing shots unless I physically forced the club closed which was uncomfortable and annoyingly awkward. I was a little short on distance but I wasn't swinging as hard with either club so that's probably why. I don't know if I should give up on them just yet though, my instructor told me my swing looks great just a little over the top which we fixed and that caused my shots with the blades to be even better and caused my taylormade shots to fly straighter but not draw which I was trying to do. Please comment opinions on what I should do or try as I don't want to give up on irons I spent 450 on. thanks.

UPDATE 2: Went to golfsmith to check out irons and see how they feel, ended up smashing both the Mizuno MP67 and the Wilson Staff FG62. Not too bad of accuracy and about 1 out of 25 were mishits or slices. I'm starting not to wonder if it's a club issue, any time I swing my Taylormades I push them or slice them and any time I hit non forgiving clubs they draw a little too far left or perfect, and when I try to hit them straight they go dead straight.
