Explain to me how weights work

I have two Taylor Made Dual Rescue clubs. One 19* and the other 22*. Explain to me how exactly changing the weights works. So if I put more weight in the toe, what will happen. Any suggestions for playing with the weights?

Pretty sure it helps with a draw or fade, I think some people believe if you have a slice working the weights will prevent it, but I think thats BS

you can look it up at the taylor made homepage!
Then you should go to a driving range and try different set-ups and find the best for you!

I have the r7 425 which I have configuered for low ball flight by putting the heavier weights in the middle.
On my r7st I have the standard draw setting with the heavier weight in the heel.

I already looked on the Taylor Made homepage. They have no reference to Dual Rescue anymore or the weight impact. I also checked the FAQ section with no luck.

Sorry, I don't wanted to offend you!

I think you have two weights just like my r7st, so I think the weight-distribution will be the same.

If put the heavier weight in the heel you will have a slight draw and if you do it the other way you will be neutral.

No offense taken. Thanks for the response.

Should you keep the total weight the same?. So right now I think there's 6 grams on the heel and 6 grams on the toe. If I move to 8 grams in the heel does that mean I should use 4 in the toe to keep 12 grams total?

Never tried that before...

but I would say that is better keep the overall weight similar to the standard because of the balance.

On the other hand you could say, that effect of 2g is not noteable!
But then the whole changing weight technology is useless!

Just try what ever you like!
You have to play good with your clubs, so everything that causes a better shot for you will be fine!

Never tried that before...

If it's not a TP model, it's heel weighted. Put a 14 in the toe and a 2 in the heel and it'll get back to neutral weighting.

If it's a TP model, 8-8 is neutral. Weight in toe = encourages clubface to stay open a little. Weight in heel = encourages clubface to close a little more quickly.

      @boogielicious and I are definitely in for the Stay & Play and will need the extra night's stay on Friday.       Taking your dispersion and distance in consideration I analyzed the 4 posible ways to play the hole, or at least the ones that were listed here. I took the brown grass on the left as fescue were you need to punch out sideways to the fairway and rigth of the car path to be fescue too.  Driver "going for the green"  You have to aim more rigth, to the bunker in order to center your shotzone in between the fescue.  Wood of 240 over the bunkers I already like this one more for you. More room to land between the fescue. Balls in the fescue 11% down from 30% with driver. Improve of score from 4.55 to 4.40. 4 iron 210 yards besides the bunkers.    Also a wide area and your shot zone is better than previous ones. This makes almost the fescue dissapear. You really need to hit a bad one (sometimes shit happens). Because of that and only having 120 yards in this is the best choice so far. Down to 4.32 from 4.40. Finally the 6 Iron 180 yards to avoid all trouble.    Wide area an narrow dispersion for almost been in the fairway all the time. Similar than the previous one but 25 yards farther for the hole to avoid been in the bunkers. Average remains the same, 4.33 to 4.32.  Conclusion is easy. Either your 4iron or 6 iron of the tee are equaly good for you. Glad that you made par!
