I've seen the short game video. It helped me. I never understood how to hit a high lofted pitch shot, that lands softly and dies. After seeing that vid and practicing a lot I've become really good at it. I still come up short of the hole a lot, because I don't fully trust myself. I'm getting better about that though. It's way better than blading the ball over the green or watching it run fooooorrr evvvvvvv eerrrr.

Besides I laugh every time he says "OK" with a really high pitched voice. Anybody else notice that and think it is funny sounding?

Are you talking about Leadbetter Interactive? The one that includes the swing analyzer software? I like the DVD's only because I read his books. They were more of the same which is good. I still haven't tried the software (I'm not sure what I'm waiting for either).

I haven't read any of his books, and am very interested in the DVD's, I just want to make sure they're worth the $65 or so that they're selling for.

As far as the swing analyzer, I'm interested but scared to death to see my swing... I know it's terrible, and don't know how I score as well as I do not that I score that well. SiD

Last year the Interactive set was $100 for 5 DVD's including the analyzer. They're all on the full swing including the fundamentals.

They're not long drawn out lectures which kept my interest.

Unless you already know you like Leadbetter's methods and philosophy, I'd recommend grabbing a Starbucks and sit down at your favorite Barnes-N-Noble and browse through a few of his books (The Golf Swing and 100% Golf). If it's for you, then dive into the DVD's.

I've been reading his books for years so I'm always interested whenever he has something new. Whether you're a Leadbetter fan or not, he teaches some good sound fundamentals.

Now whether I actually do as he teaches is another story
I probably should fire up the camera and use that analyzer.

Not too bad, but can be somewhat basic. It's pretty much Leadbetter's equivalent of Hogan's Five Fundamentals with the addition of swing analysis software. Would probably appeal to the intermediate player much more than the advanced player. To get the most out of the software you'll probably have to use the swing analysis software which provides a set of solutions for common swing issues.

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
    • Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
