This was asked by someone on Twitter, wonder what everyone here has to say. What say you?

I'd take 25:1.

That should be odd of tiger winning not odds against tiger winning. I would put it 100:1 or lower this year. He needs to play a lot more tournament golf.

1000:1 this year since I think he's only playing in the DC tournament and the PGA. Might be another in there but he won't be eligible for any playoff tournaments and the season ends there. Next year, I'd lower to 100:1.

He could reasonably never win again and play a reasonably full schedule on tour. He's assured himself lifetime status...if he thinks that snead's all-time wins record is important enough to break, I would say yes.

Still not sold on these swing changes. He's sold on them, but I'm still not. I'm very skeptical about him regaining form by the end of next season, but I think he could stumble into a win if he plays enough tournaments and doesn't get hurt. If the odds were even both ways, I'd probably lean towards "NO" but not with much confidence because even Derek Ernst stumbled into a win a couple years ago. Anyone can get hot any given week.

It's too early to tell if the swing changes will achieve what Tiger wants.  He's a smart guy and probably has an internal time line and plan for how he will proceed with Chris.  He knows time is working against him and he doesn't have 2 - 3 years to waste if a better solution is available.

The problem is he's not going back to Haney and his swing with Butch is far removed and is at least partially responsible to his knee issues, so who is he going to turn to next?  If he's 100% healthy he needs to increase the number of tournaments he's in so he at least has a shot at beating Sam Sneads record.   At this point I don't think he can catch Jack's major record.

I don't think he'll win one this year but like the odds of him winning one next year, though he might have to play in December and January against a weaker field to do it

10:1. Golf can turn in a second and if anyone can, he can. Uphill fight, but quite frankly I don't think anyone knows which Tiger shows up any day right now. Even Tiger doesn't know.

I just watch his swing and then I watch clips of him even from 2013, and he's just not attacking the ball with the same force and speed, and I truly think in order for Tiger to be successful, he needs that. Now he's probably protecting his back, which goes back to what I said a while ago in that the back surgery and injuries will keep Tiger from being the Tiger of old. We can just hope that he can find a swing that won't put as much stress on his back and allow him to be successful. I think he's trying that now, but the results haven't been there. He said he's close, but if what we saw at the US Open and British Open is close, then I'm guessing when it clicks we'll be seeing T-50 and T-60 finishes.

What will be interesting is how will history look down on him IF he doesn't break Jack or Sam's record. I think he has to find a way to break Sam's record. He just has to.

Probably similar to Hogan. At his best, there was no one better. Hogan was phenomenal player and got three legs of the grand slam. Tiger was, for a long time, unquestionably the best. If he stays at 14 he will still be regarded the best of his time, arguably (because it's subjective) the best of all time.

Only way Tiger ever wins again is if he plays on one of the tourneys during a major and id still put it 10-1 he would do that.Hes done. His body isnt the same and until he admits he is lost and needs help he might aswell retire.

Through 2014, Tiger Woods has participated in 310 PGA Tour events, winning 80 of them. A winning percentage of 25.8%, which is incredible considering the number of participants in every tournament.

That is still without winning since 2013

Odds that he wins a tournament between now and the end of next season, 3/7.

Let me know what house in Vegas will give you those odds against and I'll take the bet.  Those odds don't apply given his current set of injuries and swing changes.  Under Como he's won 0 times and has missed almost as many cuts as he's made.

Doesn't matter to me. You asked and I answered ;)

Even over the past 10 year's he's won at least once 7 out of 10. Over the past 5 he's still won at least once 2 out of the 5 seasons. I think he's moving in the right direction. I wouldn't be shocked if he goes out and wins at Firestone this year. He loves that course.

If he wins at Firestone I'll shave my head and get a Tiger Woods tattoo on my arm. I may shave my head if he simply makes the cut at the PGA. I disagree with you that he's trending in the right direction. I just saw him play like utter and complete crap at the last two majors.

Winning a major at the US open, the toughest venues possible. The Open which is just funky golf is a bit of a stretch to claim he's not trending.

The guy finished T-17 at the Master's this year.

Heck Tiger had one win in 2004, when he had no less than 5 wins the previous 5 years to that. That happened during a major swing change. Probably the only reason why he's struggled so much lately is due to the nagging injuries. He does seem to be much better of physically now.

You go ahead and shave your head. Make sure to post a picture ;)

I just don't see it happening. I hope I'm wrong because I'd love to see him battle it out with Rory and Jordan, but I just don't see him trending in the right direction. Since the Masters, it's as if he's gotten worse in every tourney with the exception of the Greenbrier which was a weak field and maybe he didn't feel the pressure as much because of it. I don't know. Just not seeing many positive signs. The Open was not funky golf. If it was, the leaderboard would have been full of funky players.

    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
    • Day 96 (18 Mar 24) - Continued work with the Divot Board with the GW and hard foam balls.  Focused on small target/small miss…setup to hit target about 30yds out - success if it hit within 6’ circle of target, fail if outside.  Had decent success averaging about 3 out of 4 (hitting in groups of four).
    • Wordle 1,003 3/6 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩   felt a little like Wyndham when the first three green and I began the fist pump…
    • I'm relieved someone finally defined hiking. I was giddy when I saw these new TPI videos a day or so after they dropped. Very easy to understand the problem and solution the way they have presented it. Been working on fixing this for about a year and a half now. It's nice to be able to call it something so communication becomes easy.  I was working on more lateral and up too, but just having someone define it clearly in video form was so helpful for me to continue confidently with what I thought was wrong and how I had to fix it.  My conceptual error here was just trying to rotate like a tour pro but without including the necessary forward pressure/weight shift associated with enough lateral and upward motion of the pelvis.  This video is great too, as is Greg Rose.
    • Day 2.    couple mins of rolling putts end over end.    10 mins of Slow, mirror work, working on starting the downswing and impact wrist positions. Hit a couple balls into the net after.    Then finished with a couple chips to see if I could repeat what I worked on yesterday.
