Does swinging more vertical promote more of a slice?

I'm thinking most clubs off the rack are too long for a 5'5'' guy to swing more vertically than what is typical. Do you have custom fit clubs?

When you say you are missing to the right, do you mean a fade/slice or push?

In general, I don't think height has anything to do with missing right.  It's your swing.  There are plenty of short statured guys that hit it straight or even with a draw.

Not sure if a swing can truly be "vertical" there is always an incline plane. But I know what you mean. When I swing more like a ferris wheel it usually because I got an ball below my feet lie and I have to change my swing plane slightly to accommodate that

My natural tendency is to draw so I am good on a ball above the feet and I don't really make my swing plane flatter, I choke up and aim slightly right and allow the ball to draw slightly more than on a flat lie.

On a ball below my feet, I tend to make lose my balance so I will open up my stance, stand taller, more swing will be more upright(notice I didn't say vertical, it feels more vertical, but reality its just more upright but still incline plane) Now it may go right but I it may also pull left too, it depends on how closed or open my clubface is at impact. so your question about slicing isn't always the case when the swing becomes more upright.

I tend to neutralize my grip when face with this lie(normally I hold the club strong left hand) stand more upright, swing more upright and allow my right hand to participate more in place of my left thumb to close the face. and adjust my aim accordingly. I usually have to aim very high above the flag and make sure I come more steep . This is what works for me.

If you are talking steep in the downswing then generally that will cause an inward path. Generally flattening of the clubshaft in or around the transition is a move that people who draw the ball do.

An extreme example would be Ricky Fowler's swing before the Butch Harmon swing change.
