Well, my latest Thrash Talk will be published in the morning as always. And this week, I focused on something I have started to gain a lot of interest in since I've been a member of The Sand Trap. Erik has convinced me that the players on the LPGA Tour are very talented and have a lot of game too.

The youth movement I have seen the last few months has me excited to watch some LPGA events. I think Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis, and Michelle Wie will really take the LPGA to the next level in future years. They all have the look and game it takes to make a sport grow. You can read the whole article in the morning, but here are a couple questions to ask yourself.

1. How Bright Does the LPGA Tour's future look to you?

2. Will Creamer, Gulbis, or Wie step up to take down Annika anytime soon?

Very. It will be interesting to see how a marketing exec can handle the tour (Bivens).

2. Will Creamer, Gulbis, or Wie step up to take down Annika anytime soon?

Not in the next three years.

From a technical standpoint many of them have incredible swings. They need more short game though.

But lately I can't help noticing that.....these women are women! They are attractive women! Times are changing....

Agreed!
With greater athleticism, better golf swings, and sexier appearance of the LPGA stars, some of the gaps between the PGA and LPGA will narrow. In prize money, for example.
But I do hope that the LPGA does not become a "bimbo tour," with the kind of pressure to eliminate those who are older, overweight, or homely that we see universally in television and entertainment, where silicone and collagen are major job qualifications and wrinkles are verboten.
Will veterans ever be taken aside, and told, "I'm sorry, but you no longer fit the image of the New LPGA, and we have to ask you to move on"?
