I've been Playing Golf for: 5 years, however around less than 10 rounds per year started a couple of months ago and want to take this serious. My goal is to someday have a round in the low 80s.

My current handicap index or average score is: Over 20 and my average score is around 102.

My typical ball flight is: A slice. however when I hit good I hit a nice draw.

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Everything, working on my consistency and most important tempo, which is normally caused by my impatience to try to kill the ball.

Post a face on swing if you can.

I'd look at a couple things. Grip may be palmy in the left hand because of how loose things get at the end of the backswing. Club/shaft "collapses" towards you.

And Key #2. Both of these pieces will help you hit it more solid more often and swing less across the ball.

Thank you for taking the time to review my swing. YES I took a class with a PGA instructor and he told me to grip more in the palm for control/consistency, but that's something easy that I can change. My grip looks close to the left so I will adjust it to look more to the right.

The question I have is how will this help me?  Be more flexible or allowing me to cock my wrist or club easily?

Will help build structure on the backswing, so you're not "floppy" at the top which doesn't help you create leverage on the downswing.

Here are my swings from a session done at the practice range. I have made some progress making adjustment to my swing. Here are the things I'm working:

1- Grip, more in the fingers than in the palm of the hand. This one is complete.

2- Centered Hip Turn. Work in Progress.

3- Left arm extension using the width of my arms. Using a string attached to the top on my left elbow and turn my upper torso as much as possible with my arms. Work in Progress.

4- Move weight forward at impact. Work in Progress.

Appreciate your feedback and thoughts.

Thank you, JB

JB Centered hip turn will help immensely. The head is also moving backwards in the backswing. You're moving your weight forward but only to where it was at address...it has to go more forward which will be easier if your hips/head don't move back on the backswing

    • Just want to share a quick update with everyone. I went to the range the week before last, even though I took it easy no significant pain occurred just a slight twinge when I swung my #4 hybrid. The most encouraging news was no soreness the next morning. However I think switching back to graphite shafts is definitely gonna happen, my mp15's were fitted with X shafts and having something lighter will help.
