Singh is the second best player of the Tiger Era to me, with Phil as a close second.

Not even close to being on the list.

It's Phil, but you can think "Vijay" and make a case for him (as Phil never reached #1).

I'm going with Phil. He's just done more. I think Vijay had one of the most impressive seasons in 2004 having 9 wins including a major. I am wondering how much of that also is contributed to Tiger going through his swing change. Not sure Vijay gets that #1 ranking if Tiger didn't go through that small drought changing to the Haney swing.

Id say Phil but In 5 years, my answer will probably be Rory.

Not for 1995-2015.

colin mongtgemry (never on the PGA yet won the european tour like 11 times straight)

Not for 1995-2015.

No I mean for 1995-2020. I think Rory talent-wise and major wise will surpass Phil. Eventually I think he'll pass him in tourney wins worldwide but that'll take longer.

It's beside the point, but the thread title says 1995-2015. It doesn't say "since 1995." So your answer shouldn't change because Rory's not going to do something to end 2015 to put him at the top of your list.

This discussion looks back. It doesn't look forward to the next five years.

Did you even try with some of these names?

It's Phil...and I would argue that you'd have to be a fairly biased Phil hater to think it's particularly close. 5 majors and 10 seconds in majors (2nd most all time). I know that could or should haves don't amount to a whole lot but without too much imagination he could have 9 or 10 majors right now and being talked about as probably the 3rd best in history.

Vijay is fairly close. Reached #1 which Phil never did.

I vote Vijay, but regardless, it's pretty damn close. There was a point where he was legit the best player in the world, which Phil never has attained.
