The Gateway PGA, in partnership with National Car Rental, is excited to announce the National Car Rental Youth Clinic featuring PGA Tour star Keegan Bradley! Keegan, the 2011 PGA Champion, will be joined by his father and PGA Professional, Mark Bradley. The demonstration clinic will be held at WingHaven Country Club on Monday, September 21 at 4:00 PM. The clinic is free but will be limited to the first 100 youths registered - ages 5-18. Online registration will begin at 5:00 PM/Central TODAY (September 11).

Wow! Clinic filled in 20 minutes! Please put your name on the waitlist. Spots may open up.

What a great experience this will be for the kids.

I'll be helping with other club members, maintaining general public control for the event.

Hopefully, I'll be able to take a few photos and vid.

What a beautiful day, as Winghaven CC hosted the National Car Rental Youth Clinic, featuring Keegan Bradley and his father, PGA Professional, Mark Bradley.

Keegan's opening message to over the 100 boys and girls along with audience in attendance,

"have fun playing golf"

Keegan first spoke about the importance of diet, exercise and rest as his priority and living a healthy lifestyle.

He then talked about his routine preparation before playing as he swung a couple of clubs to loosen up.

After a few moments of stretching, he then explained thoughts on practice before playing.

He started by hitting several short wedge shots, controlling distance and spin.

Next were slow controlled 8-iron shots, also controlling distance and spin.

Now he was ready for full swings with a 6-iron.

While Keegan was taking his routine warmups, his dad would speak about Keegan growing up and playing golf when he was a kid.

It was easy to see that Keegan and his dad were enjoying their time in front of the many young kids gleaming with joy.

They then explained hitting a variety of different shots and making practice a game itself.

Dad spoke about hitting the ball hard. He emphasis on hitting it hard as Keegan grew up and then talk about it later.

Meaning learning control later as Keegan ripped the driver.

Keegan explained using Trackman as a valuable tool and the effectiveness of the data it provided.

During the event, kids would ask questions and made requests for Keegan to hit a variety of shots, like high fades, punch shots, ect.

Keegan also spoke about playing on tour and other players.

At the end of the event, all the kids gather together around Keegan and his dad in front of the NCR tour bus for photos.

Each child received an autograph photo from Keegan for attending the event.

My hats off to Keegan for providing a special day for the kids and certainly think he obtained a little more fan base.
