This afternoon i went to the driving range and tested out the mizuno mx-25, and the callaway x-20. I was very impressed with both of them. At address the callaways were much more appealing to my eyes, and they felt better compared to the mizuno's. however, performance-wise i was completely blown away with the mx-25's, compared to my clubs (which are garbage, i paid 200 dollars for an entire club set, bag and all) i was hitting about 20 yards longer consistantly and a little longer than the callaways, both were way more forgiving than my current clubs. All in all both sets blew me away, i didnt realize how much difference a set of good clubs really makes. Now i just need to decide which ones i want, any input would be greatly appreciated,

In the bag:
driver: Sumo2 9.5
3/5 wood: 15/17
hybrids: 3/4 rhythm
irons: cci 4-pw, swputter: newport 2 detourballs: nxt

It's a rush!

I like both iron sets. The MX-25 feels so soft and lovely. My distance was greater with the Callaway, but dispersion was tighter with the Mizuno. At address and overall, the MX-25 looked fine. Strangely, at address I see only the ball and not the club.

FYI, Mizuno MX-25 is forged and Callaway X-20 isn't. Forged irons set is much softer than cast.

Even only with the brand names head on, for me Mizuno feels better than Callaway. I had Callaway Fusion back then and now Mizuno MP-60. Moreover, I've hit X-20 before and Callaway forged model X-Forged, IMO, they don't come close to Mizuno in term of feel.

The Callaway X-20s are beautiful clubs, I've been thinking of trading up for some time now. Had the X-12s since they came out so its about time for a change and the X-20s are a perfect exchange.
