I break my wrist at the "normal" time but when it comes to closing/rotating them to close the club face i cant seem to do it, causeing a huge slice or a fade that ends up in the woods/OB because im not playing my swing to do that. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and if they used and drills to help them conquer this.

The best drill you can possibly do for this problem is:

Grip the club normally, then (assuming your a righty) move your right hand down the grip, so between your hands there is a gap, your left hand will be at the top of the grip and your right hand at the bottom of the grip.

Swing like this and feel how easy it is to release the club face, take a few practise swings like this, then take your normal grip and try and hit the ball recreating that feeling.

excellent drill is this

get a weighted club - i use an old pitching wedge with a half kilo weight taped around it at the head and do slow half swings rotating your forearm as much as possible, muscle memory and help with power - i would do both arms if you are going to do the exercise a lot

for the driver, stand further away from the ball, practise swing with 1 club or 2 if you strong at waist height then feel the power of the draw

I actually just recently got over this one a few days ago. I din't do it every time, but was really inconsistent and they were always weak right shots when I flubbed it.

I've been an interlocked gripper ever since I started playing 10 or so years ago. That's the way I learned, so I just stuck with it. Well, the other day I must have had an epiphany...dunno why or what posessed me to do it. I tried changing my grip over to a normal traditional grip and stopped interlocking. It felt weird at first, but after playing with it for a few days, I can't even go back to the old grip now. I turn the club over a ton better now, it's given me about 5yds extra too because I have a better release. I don't feel like my right arm has a much control over it any more, it's just along for the ride, so I don't end up with the club face so open any more. It allows my left hand to ride through and turn the club over.

It may not work for others, or even which type of grip you use, but I think it's about the single best thing that has changed my habits around since I started playing.
