Re: Cord, Tour Velvet, or Combo ?

I played the new decade's last year, but have switched to the tour velvets to give them a try. I see a lot of pros using them, so there has to be something good about'em.

I find the new decades hard on the hands...I don't wear a glove and these were the first grips to ever give me blisters on my hands.

Tour Velvet's rock. Soft and ply-able enough to add wraps of tape underneath and not kill the hands, cheap as heck, good with moisture....

There is no comparison for my game.

Re: Cord, Tour Velvet, or Combo ?

I just regripped with Lamkin Crossline. They have a classic look to me, though the new popular classic that I have been hearing a lot about is the Decade Multicompound. I might have to put down the extra dough next time to try for myself. Up until now, having the bright color would have kept me away, but I am over that.

Re: Cord, Tour Velvet, or Combo ?

i like the tour velvet CORD. they are the best grips, handel sweat great, and offer plenty of control. I like the new multicompounds, and might give them a try, but they feel very soft in my hands, because im used to the cords.

Re: Cord, Tour Velvet, or Combo ?

Love the cord but cant seem to keep them clean. I play about 5 times a week and they end up getting to slick for me. I am playing tour velvet right now but wish I could keep my cords clean enough to keep them feeling like I like them
