OK, so I'm new to the forum and I thought I'd try posting a couple vids from tonight. I'm working hard trying to get a nice swing down but I have to break some bad habits first. On the driver I am slicing it somewhat. On the 8 iron I either slice a little, or push to the left.

I can see that I'm changing my swing plane a lot on the downswing and going outside in. I just am not sure what to do to fix it since I've been doing it so long.

Any advice?

From what I see your down swing is just about perfect, but you do come over the top a tiny bit in transition, and this is because you take the club back from the ball to the outside, and your body adjusts and puts you back on plane. When you are practicing, take a mini practice swing, and what I mean by this is just start the back swing and watch your club, make sure it starts to the inside and then your shots should start to straighten out. Hope this helps, and good luck.

Not a bad looking swing to be honest. Like mentioned before though, the outside in is the main cause for your slicing/pulls. If you notice in the vids, the shaft of the club on the way down is not in the same line with your left arm at the top. If you work on that, then concentrate on bring the club down on the same plane as your leading arm, it will help a lot.

You have a great swing for the most part. It looks like you generate a lot of power. A couple of things I would suggest:
-Bend your knees a little at address. A more athletic setup usually means more power.
-In order to stop coming over the top, think a bout taking it back upright and then dropping you hands to the inside in your transition. If that sounds confusing, take a look at Sergio Garcia's swing. What he does is not perfect, but it is better than being over the top.

Best of luck, you have a bright future ahead of you in golf.

You have quite a natural swing. I think it is a sign that you have good basic ball striking talent.
Please look up for Ringer's excellent hip video in swing tips and work on transitioning to your front foot during your downswing. It did wonders for me personally. I hope my scoring improves when the grass gets a little green now.
