  1. I'm NOT a fan of Wie, but I agree with you on this. The players play in groups to validate scores and decisions. If there was a question, it should've been addressed right then. I think she played in the spirit of the game. This ain't a game like football where it's only wrong if you get caught punching someone in the teeth. I wasn't rooting for her, but that's just wrong.
  2. NO. But she did beat some of them big o'l bad men. I would love to see her dominate the LPGA. Why can't she do that first?
  3. The courses are not too short, the sand traps and doglegs are not in the right spot for todays equipment.
  4. One of the main causes of the hooks is, you pull the club inside on the take away. Then you come back to the ball from the extreme inside path. As the clubhead approches the ball it is inside and has a very shallow angle of attack. Then instead of naturally releasing the club, you roll your arms in a attempt to square the face. SNAP HOOK! If I were you, I'd restrict your hip turn as you coil. I feel that is the biggest reason golfers get the club off plane. Hope this helps.
  5. Yeah, it would seem that the quest for the big arch has lead to the flying elbow. It works for them because they come back down the swing plane, where regular guys tend to go over the top from that position.
  6. Oh and by the way, here are the LPGA stats for driving. 1 Annika Sorenstam 273.7 2 Brittany Lincicome 269.2 3 Sophie Gustafson 269.0 4 Isabelle Beisiegel 265.0 5 Maria Hjorth 263.4 6 Reilley Rankin 263.3 7 Jean Bartholomew 263.1 8 Catherine Cartwright 262.6 9 Heather Bowie 262.4 10 Pat Hurst 261.8 So with the extra 30 yards off the tees, she should hit flip wedges into every par four. Why is she not dominating the LPGA? I'm tired of hearing that 300 yard stuff. I hit one 300 once too.
  7. If she can qualify, I'm all for her playing.
  8. hi Brian, We are in the process of arranging field demos for the PowerXSwing. We've had offers from a few magazines. We're really trying to set something up with Golf Magazine though. Once we get a schedule, we hope to work everybody in. Dan
  9. If I could run a 90 sec spot and get 500-1000 units sold, I'd be interested. Tell me more about how and who to get in touch with.
  10. Yes I'd have to agree with the casting problem. You need to hold the wrist angle longer. The new term going around for this is "stacked". That's when you stay over the ball and let your hands/arms fall down into the slot. You have a great take away, but at the 3/4 position, you seem to over rotate your hips slightly and possibly lock or straighten your right leg. This would cause a very shallow path to the ball. The "extra" hip turn makes your shoulders overturn too. It makes your head go a little up and to the right. That might cause some inconsistent shots. After you get to the ball, that part looks good. You have a very good swing as I see it. Certainly not a 22 handicap swing, more like a 10 swing. You probably don't hit the ball as far as you want or could. Holding the angle of your wrist cock will get you more distance than a great big turn. Dan
  11. If she went through the proper qualifying procedures, I don't see anything wrong with her playing. Then she's fighting for a spot just like everyone else. If you ask the PGA, I'm sure they won't agree. I saw that on TV, and he did a Qback sneak. The difference here is the Qback still got paid. I'm not trying to change your mind, as i don't think I could, I'm only trying to present the other side of the story.
  12. Who it hurts is the young male touring pro trying to make a living. What did Wie do on the AJGA junior tour where she should be right now? Nothing! What did Wie do on the LPGA tour? Not much! What did Wie do on the PGA tour? Nothing! So in short, she hasn't done much to earn the publicity she's got. This is nothing more than rich mommy/daddy pushing their little darling to the front of the pack. All the while female golfers that have worked hard and are more deserving of the spotlight get none. There's your class problem. You all seem to overlook one thing, It's the PGA's tournament. They just use the suckers/sponsors money to payoff the players. PGA runs the show, the sponsors get a tax write off.
  13. 1) yes 2) I can't remember the last time the Phoenix Suns picked someone out of the audience to play on the team for a game. Just to hype it up. So you mean it's a publicity stunt? 3) Right...Qualify...sorry they don't. They can't come to my next poor boy club meeting at Burger King. Why does it matter who makes up their club?
