  1. It is always good to have a villain to root against; in my case I can't wait to cheer when Phil misses the cut
  2. Congrats to Tommy - for finishing top 20 in the Tiger Invitational. Which is also dead last, only 23 shots behind Viktor; but it is good for $100,000 and 2.09 OWGR points. This is an event that can keep someone Tommy up in the rankings.
  3. Alas - He missed the top 40 by 6 shots T101 at +3, T39 was -3 https://www.pgatour.com/korn-ferry-tour/leaderboard.html
  4. I am surprised they didn't make it threesomes, with a amateur partner; make it be Jordan and Justin and ??? against Rory and Tiger with Charlie - TV ratings would be huge
  5. You may be right; but 9;15 is the new midnight
  6. So my math is off, I haven't really followed the new OWGR math. Say they get, what would it be for the weak field, no cut, 54 hole event - maybe 5-10 points (to the winner. No way that any of them could stay on the front page of the OWGR playing only 10-12 events a year. I mean what do they have 5-6 players who would be competitive weekly on PGA Tour events (meaning top 20 finishes) so 20+ guys who used to be that good as some point and a bunch of guys who bring nothing to the OWGR calculation. I just think that the OWGR not recognizing LIV events gives much more ammunition to the LIV (social media, an eventual lawsuit somewhere, and it makes the sympathetic to the general public)
  7. I've said that a couple of times, I'm surprised that they don't "concede" the not recognizing the events and go ahead and decide that 54 hole events are only worth 75% of a 72 hole event, and no cut should have another hair trim of say 15-20%, and the strength of field at LIV events would make it so the winner would get maybe 40-50 points, and these guys would fall fast from the top 50 with their limited number of events. So it really wouldn't matter. But the powers that be seem to want to die on that hill, rather than let the LIV tour players die for playing a limited number of events, for a limited number of rounds, with a limited number of players. LIV = Limited Invitational Villians Tour
  8. Yeah - I'm not sold yet either, but this will help you pick your roster. When you go to the players page, click on the arrow in the status/team box and then select in the upcoming event. And then you get only the players entered. But it looks like it is down to you, me & Fritz, and I'm in 3rd place; guess I'll have to focus my 2 minutes a week effort on the pgatour fantasy site
  9. They aren't competing with anything; because when you play in Bangkok the live coverage in the US is from about 10:30 PM - 4:00 AM. I mean I love to get up early to watch the Open Championship, but I'm not staying up all night/morning watch the Bangkok member/guest shotgun starts on Youtube
  10. I am not a fan of the LIV, nor the Saudi backers; but then I also have some issues with the OWGR. They have made exceptions to those rules, when it fits the purpose of helping the people they like. They give points for the Hero Challenge (an 18 player event for Tiger and a few of his buddies), and for the WGC events (limited field, no cut) the worst of which is the match play where you can get points for getting invited (aka never winning a match - so you can play maybe 50 holes of golf - saying you lose 2 matches and tie the other). Maybe this is more about my dislike for a few of the things that the OWGR does, but if they were truly impartial then they would give an arbitrary points value to LIV events, say maybe 50%. Discounted due to limited field and fewer rounds. This would give an appearance of being impartial, while in reality not allowing more than 2-3 players to earn enough points to really matter if they are only playing in 10 events a year.
  11. I put another $100 on my range card for the local facility, using it much more now that I have a job about 7 minutes away and I can go there for lunch
  12. Lineups are due today (okay, tomorrow morning) because this week's event they are playing Wed-Saturday, so you can focus on football this Sunday.
  13. only 7 players under par so far today, I might have done better not submitting a roster this week. if it stays like this I might play guys on my roster who don't make the cut for the weekend
  14. Welcome to the board Joey - great avatar! Go Green
