  1. I've heard that man amateurs chunk the ball (hit the ground behind the ball) more often than not. I tend to do the same every few shots. What are amateurs doing different and how does one overcome it? W
  2. Thanks! What about Justin Hicks from Stadium Golf?
  3. Anyone know of any good SD golf instructors? I'm looking for some reviews on local golf instructors before I make a decision. Thanks W
  4. that reminds me of a story, i bought two Ball Park hot dogs one time, and as I walked away, i noticed one was slightly lighter than the other. I opened up the wrapping and saw that one was a little more plump than the other. I then ate them both. They were delicious!!! (just kidding. I don't even like hot dogs)
  5. check out the Doubletree Golf Resort in Carmel Mountain. Just a little north of SD. Its decent
  6. thanks but not the clubs for me. Plus, Clubfinders haven't been able to do anything for me....... i'll tell them, "Thanks.... for nothing"! haha
  7. can someone break it down for me, stiff shafts vs regular shafts. i'm in my 20's and i know stiff shafts are typically for older players. but, i have a opportunity to buy a 3w for a very good price, but its a stiff shaft, yay or nay? w
  8. Sorry but for some reason, I can't post anything in the Marketplace thread. Anywhoo, i need a single 3 iron, preferably a Cleveland Launcher but a CG4 will do. I'm not looking for new but in good condition. Thanks!! W
  9. Thank you all for your advice and your nice words of confidence!! =) See you guys out there!!! W
  10. i've only been playing golf now for about a little less than a year now and i feel that i'm picking it up well. my trouble and frustration right now is consistency with ball striking. when i'm out at the range, i always tend to have great sessions but when i hit the course, it all goes down hill. i'll hack at the ball, chunk the ball, and top the ball more so than not. any advice? i know i need more practice but as of now, its totally frustrating!!
  11. check these out!! I have friends that use both these clubs and they love them!!! Nike - http://rockbottomgolf.com/nike-golf-...set-steel.html Taylormade - http://rockbottomgolf.com/taylor-mad...irons-set.html happy hunting!!
  12. i've only been playing for a little less than a year..... worst score so far: 112
  13. thanks for everyone's advice. i figured out that my club face is slightly closed upon impact. thats why it hooks left.
