  1. I just started playing last spring and would recommend getting into a set of forgiving clubs. I ended up buying a used set of ping eye 2's and felt they were a great set to learn on. I picked up mine on E-bay for $225. I did not have my color code figured out yet so I just bought the standard black dot. I have since been fitted and purchased a set of i5's white dot stiff +1/2 inch. I am biased, but would recommend looking into Ping clubs. In my opionion there is no need to make this game any harder than it already is. Forgiving clubs will make it loads easier, that being said, it does not cost an arm and a leg to get a decent set of clubs. Just my .02.
  2. There are so many funny episodes to choose from. One of my favorites is the "Puffy Shirt" Jerry- "I don't want to be a pirate" Ha Ha Ha
  3. I do not think it really matters which ball, but I do think it is important to be consistent. I started playing last year and have noticed when I switch balls I can feel a difference, especially off the putter. There are some great balls that can be had for fairly cheap. I buy alot of mine from www.lostgolfballs.com and have been very pleased. Check out the 2nd or 3rd grade NXT. Good deals. Good luck.
  4. Shot my best 9 hole score ever, a 4 over 40 on a pretty challenging little mountain course. Birdie, Bogey, Par, Bogey, Par, Birdie, Double Double , Par. So close to breaking 40 I can smell it. I can't wait to get out this weekend and give it another shot. Man this game is addicting. Later-----
  5. I will cast a vote for the CG12. I have the 56/14 model. I really like this wedge alot. It really depends on how much spin you want. I am not one of those players that enjoys spinning it back a long ways. I feel I have more control with the bounce and check shot. I love this thing out of the sand. I also use it around the green the vast majority of the time. I really think it is a great product.
