  1. Hi all, After 1 year+ I still got the intercostal muscle pain. I play 2 or 3 times a week and everytime I hit a bad shot with a bad finish swing I feel that little pain that I live with. If I press the chest I still feel the pain too. That's what the doctor said to me: there will be no cure if you don't stop playing for a long time. The fibrosis is too big and not elastic and everytime you force that muscles it will cause pain because they lost their elasticity in that area. I decided not to stop that hobby, it gives me life, you know what I'm talking about. What I can recommend to those that injured themselves, I you feel any pain don't play, put away the clubs for a long period, and don't go play with the pain there, you'll never be healed if you do that. when you start again go with slow swings and see if the pain is there. at the little sign of pain stop! you're not healed yet. As many say here ice feels good, hot towels or gel packs, massage etc all was good to ease my pain, but the secret is to stop and rest if the pain is there.
  2. Ok finally after 5 months I know that my problem is muscular fibrosis with 1,2cm lenght located in the interior muscle between the 6th and the 7th rib. It was seen in a ecographia, now I will treat this properly with the right treatment. I got my handicap finally, but my chest paid the price, the pain still here.
  3. The pain is very very quiet in the last days. I'm taking some practice lesson next week and try not to hit the ball too hard, if I feel pain I will immediately stop. I need to take that risk because free lessons finish next month and I need my handycap although I feel that I'm not healed and it will hurt. I don't do even a putt for about 3 months now I can't believe I will suffer as I did back in September/October. Happy new year to all!
  4. OK , the Physiotherapy treatment continues for more 20 sessions and 1 more box of anti inflammatory pills. The doctor is talking about chronicle pain and maybe it's related with my back so she prescribed me some back x-ray. Man this definitely sucks. I think I'm hopeless.
  5. Fisiotherapy almost finishing and the pain is there, not the same as 2 months ago but I still feel it. when I raise my right arm or some quick movement or turning around in bed.
  6. Hi all Started physiotherapy yesterday, 20 sessions of massages and all the physiotherapy stuff, and one more box of anti inflammatory pills. Let's see what happens next. Thanks
  7. Hi, I'm a beginner golfer and I did my injury 10 days after start practicing. My pain is mainly in the chest (x mark in the picture) but sometimes it hurts in the side too. when I deep breathe or some little movements I feel the pain. (by the way this is not me :)) My pain still active, I don't practice for about 4 weeks now ( the first month I did some trys in the driving range after 2 weeks of rest) and the pain is here. I did some changes at home in the furniture yesterday and the pain today is killing me. I did go to a doctor who told me to do anti-inflammatory and nothing happened, to special massages, and lately I went to a Chiropractor who tells me that he can't help. My pain still here, my chest(right side) hurts when deep breathing, when I do some movements of the chest or right arm (moving in bed huts like hell). Did some RX and nothing is broken. I'm very frustrated at the moment because I can't play golf, I can't do any sports, even swimming causes me pain. Anyone with this pain marked with the "x"?? Thanks in advance
