  1. I like Lauren Thompson fr the highlights on Golf Channel lol jk... But seriously Lauren Thompson! CBS/NBC same caca, same smell, But Lauren Thompson works for NBC so.... Lauren Thompson!
  2. Yeah I know what you guys mean, maybe someday I will get some new custom wedges. I don't really know where I would get fitted for them, just any pro shop? Thanks for the feedback!
  3. I'm not specific to EDEL, i was just refencing EDEL since this an EDEL thread. Fitting is done from my understanding by measuring the length of your arms to the ground. I'm not sure what grind or bounce I want. So EDEL is probably be the last brand I want if I have to custom order. I would rather take the guess work out and buy some clevelands. I would not know what to buy when buying customs. I can beat most people with wal-mart wedges, I'm just trying to take my game to the next level without teachers or coaches. These EDELs look cool, I don't care about putting a name custom, so for the right price if they are the right clubs for me I won't really care who's name is on them if I dont have to empty my bank account to buy them haha.
  4. haha that's why I've never bought a brand new driver, I ment the set. im a federal employee which means I do the same work as private sector for half the salary haha. What would a used set of these wedges go for?
  5. I am looking for some great wedges, but the price of any good wedge is almost as much as a driver! Of course the short game is the one you should invest in. I am looking for some used EDEL wedges. I live about a hundred miles from any given golf course, so needless to say I have a separate set of clubs for practice (rocky soil). I rarely get to the range (gas is too dang much!) but I need some decent wedges since I am wearing out my practice wedge on the extremely rocky soil of my homemade golf course. If you know of anyone selling their used EDEL wedges let me know!!!! I can get them fitted myself so that isn't a concern. Thanks!
  6. If we are going by world rankings then Tiger Woods is the obvious choice. But as far as my favorite golfer, he is not. He may be number one, and I do admire him greatly, probably my third or fourth favorite golfer. Jack is a spoiled rich boy who's daddy bought him the best equipment and hired the best coaches for him. He is a legend but he still cannot compare to the Greatest Golfer of All Time, LEE TREVINO! Lee was born dirt poor, working as a caddie, welder, Marine, he did not have the opportunity to play until he was 19 years old. He learned how to play as an adult, and has won 6 Majors plus many more tournaments in the PGA as well as the Senior PGA. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty, he is funny, and he has die hard fans that cheer for him win or LOSE!!! Who else can say that (maybe Palmer)? Lee Trevino taught himself how to play golf. Lee Trevino has been struck by lightning and still played! Lee Trevino made so much money that his CADDIE was a top twenty money winner! He's played golf with three U.S. Presidents as well as the King of Morocco. The only thing Lee Trevino is afraid of is his WIFE! Jack and Tiger might hit the ball better, swing better and win more, but there is no question that Lee Trevino is still a Greater Golfer, and a Greater Person. Skill can't make you great, Jack is one of the Best players, Tiger is probably THE BEST golfer ever! But they still aren't half as GREAT as LEE TREVINO!!!!!
  7. Haha She's not that bad... She has some skill, and at least she is Bold enough to create and wear her own style... I'm not saying she's the best looking on the show, and she kinda annoys me too, but we shouldn't judge someone for being original....
  8. I recently twisted my back, so I am re-learning how to swing again....
  9. I am currently working on power and distance control. I have set up an elevated "chipping green" in the park in my hometown. The area is desert with alpine mountain backdrop. So I get cooler temps but have to play in the sand. The park I use is not the best park as far as landscaping, but it gives me a great oportunity to practice sand trap shots. The "green" is on a small hill with a narrow top with the hole located towards the back of the "green" with a small drop off immediately behind the cup (bought a flagstick and cup at Dick's). My goal is to land the ball right on top of the narrow ridge of the green just infront of the hole hopefully rolling into the cup. (approx. 70 yds.) I use a 56 deg. wedge that I bought used recently to practice with, and have been hitting the shots from a sand pit that I made. My goal is to make the shots stick to the top of the narrow ridge, hoping that the balls don't roll off the back side of the hill. I have been using golf club weights to warm up and do my practice swings, and really focusing on a smooth back swing, and a sraight and square forward swing. at first I was hitting the ball way behind the hill, then too short. I adjusted my grip and my posture (had my feet too far apart, and my left foot was turned out properly but I had it too far back throwing me off balance. After getting a good prpoer grip and posture I was landing the balls within 20 inches from the stick.
  10. Personally I think I would benefit from a wedge with more bounce. Of course I played golf with a pitching wedge as my most lofted club for the last three years... Finally bought a 56 deg. wedge to practice with, Currently untraining myself out of bad habits... I'm pretty new to buying custom equipment... Can you get fitted for these clubs at any Golf Store/Pro Shop?
