  1. Um... id prefer to hit them on the center of the face and loose ten yards than hit the hossel and hit it right 150 yards... just saying...:)
  2. I have have the GP Tour Velvet cords on my AP2's and i love them... i used new decades for awhile but they are a tad on the hard side.
  3. WURM you're my HERO!! That's exactly it!! Basically they use them for many different things, I've seen some players use them on grass ranges by sticking them in the ground at an angle to help swing path (I saw Vijay use them at the Nissan Open last year for this reason). But primarily i see players lay them on the ground point to targets to help with stance and alignment. As training aids go they have many benefits, they are virtually indestructable, flexible and fit neatly in your bag without any additional weight added like the heavy speedstick. Thanks again all especially Wurm for the help on this! OChack
  4. Nope its not a "Speedstick" and unfortunately not the "Adjustable Swing Stick Allignment Aid". The are actually about the size of a fishing rod in terms of thickness, and they are multicolored, like white with white stripes or white with orange stripes. Thanks for the prompt responses i appreicate it! OCHack
  5. I live in Orange County California, and spend alot of time on the range which im sure most all of you do as well. What I've been noticing lately is alot of the juniors using the thin multi-colored sticks.. or rods about the size of a Driver shaft for alignment. I've looked far and wide online trying to find a set with no such luck. Does anyone out there have any idea what these might be? Oh and i know the question will come up well why don't you just ask them where they got them? I did that i got 3 "my high school coach gave them to me" and 1 "My friends dad gave them to me i have no idea where he got it" Thanks for your help..
  6. I ended up purchasing a 907D2 with the Aldila Proto 65G Stiff shaft in there. Luckily i have a golf shop here in Orange County that has a driving range onsite and i was able to try numerous shaft options. And like i imagined i liked the Proto the best, my older driver (Cleveland Comp) had a green NV65 stiff and i loved it. On my downswing they felt virtually the same in terms of flex and the weight is pretty much identical, and i was smashing it. So who knows... I'm going to take it out tomorrow and smack it around. Thanks for all the advice and comments.
  7. I did not, but will now:) Thanks
  8. I'm looking at purchasing the Titleist D2 9.5, haven't really decided just yet on which shaft to put in this bad boy, I'm leaning towards the Aldila Proto Stiff flex but I'm still on the fence about it. Anyone playing this club? Any suggestions on shafts? General recommendations? Thanks
  9. Cleveland Halo 2i 15 Degrees with a Aldila NV65 Stiff shaft, besides my Vokey Spin milled lob wedge, its my favorite club in the bag. How could you not love a club that you can power out of 6 inch rough, hit out of a fairway bunker, or use as a fringe chipping club... they are truly "utility irons" anyone that doesnt have one needs to buck up and get one.
  10. The longest drive I've ever hit was at a course called Oak Quarry in riverside California. The course always has wind whipping through it, because of its canyon setting and the location of the course. Number 5 is a fairly long par 5 downwind i crushed my shot and the ball came to rest at the 417 mark, which left me a 3/4 sand wedge into the green. No my best ever without wind is probably 354, at my home course Costa Mesa Country Club. 371 uphill? Now that is impressive my friend.
  11. I run the IT Department at a Vitamin Manufacturer in Tustin California. I'm a board member for the Costa Mesa Country Club Men's Club. I try to play at least once a week, and practice at least twice. I'm a gear junkie and golf fanatic, I'm real excited to to chat with all of you.
