  1. Been out of the game for a while and am starting to play regularly again. I used to play my best when I kept relatively detailed stats about each round and wanted to start doing so again but I cannot figure out a way to get the old version of Scorecard 2 to work on my Mac (somehow I still have my license file though). Last time I used the software was back in 2013 I think. I have tried to search my way through the forums to find what people are using, but most I have been able to find direct me back to posts about Scorecard in the 2009-2012 range. What software is everyone using to track their stats? I loved how simple it was to keep track of details on my physical scorecard and then enter them quickly when I got home, so something similar would be great. Thank you in advance!

  3. So have been able to get in a bunch of range sessions and play a few rounds. Darn responsibilities keep getting in the way. I do really like the clubs. I am finding that I hit the 6-PW almost exact distances as my former clubs and I love the ball flight and really just love everything about them. I am just running into a few issues with the 4 and 5 irons. I feel like the clubs are dead, even when I put a good swing on the ball and am not getting near the distance that I feel I should, which creates some gapping issues and just not much confidence in those clubs right now. Because of that, I am having my former 4 and 5 irons re-shafted to the same shafts as the AP2s and will keep them in the bag until I get more time with them and have some other golfers hit them to rule out any potential issues with the clubs. I am also going to try to hit some AP1 and AP3 irons around the lofts of the 4 and 5 from the AP2 set to see if maybe I hit those better and find the right gapping if I do hit them better.
  4. Hello again everyone. Was able to get to a store, hit most of the irons you recommended. Ended up with a set of Titleist AP2s. At the end, was down to choosing between Mizuno JPX 900 forged, Callaway X Forged. Titleist just won out. Now just need to get the snow to melt and temps to go up so we can start thinking about golf again up here! Thanks again for the recommendations!
  5. I was not a fan of most of the Nike Irons up until the ProCombo and ProCombo OS. Then I hit them and and they just worked. Just another question for those who might use the AP2, I have a chance to get a new set of 716 AP2 at a good price ($750). If I like the clubs, am I missing out on much compared to the 718 AP2?
  6. Thank you for the additional clubs. I will add them to the list!
  7. Hello All, I took a little bit of time off from golf and am looking to come back into playing regularly this year. I played once last year and realized that my irons could use a good refreshing. I currently play a set of Nike ProCombo OS irons. I love how they feel and I like the lofts and how the ball comes off of the clubs. I like the current distance I get from the lofts I am playing and would like to stay close to those lofts (3-21, 4-24, 5-27, 6-31, 7-35, 8-39, 9-43, PW-47). When I stopped playing regularly, my HC was around a 6. I am going to get fit, but wanted to solicit some feedback/recommendations before doing so, as I do not have a lot of places around me to get fit for multiple different brands and options. I have been looking at the following clubs (online) and am planning on hitting them and seeing what I like: Titleist: 718CB, 718MB, AP2 Taylormade: P770 Is there another brand or model I should be considering? Thank you in advance.
  8. I had a few of the HX balls come with something else that I ordered. I have hit them while chipping, full swings and the such, and they just do not feel good in my opinion. I prefer the Almost Golf Balls as they feel great off of the clubs and react like golf balls. They travel about 1/3 the distance of real balls, and will not break a window. The HX balls feel mushy and just don't react well off of the clubface.
  9. It finally has arrived... These pictures do not do it justice. It is purely a work of art and looks amazing.
  10. Enjoy it. I still believe that my ClicGear 2.0 was one of the best golf purchases I made also. I needed something that folded small but was great on the course, and the ClicGear has performed amazingly. The 3.0 seems to have addressed my minor concerns with the 2.0 which is the compartment was a little small, and the brake was a unique process. I don't think that it will ever get to the point where the 2.0 will stop functioning, so I might have to gift it to someone else to get the 3.0 or the 4.0 when it comes out. I play so much better when walking, and the ClicGear has allowed me to golf more and spend less money riding around the course. So, enjoy it, keep it clean and it will perform flawlessly.
  11. I definitely found a putter style/brand that I like and putt well with, but I wanted a different look.It appears that now Never Compromise is owned by Cleveland/Srixon essentially making higher quality versions (in my opinion) of the Cleveland Classic Series, and I wanted a custom flat stick, so I am their target customer. I totally agree, that once you find a putter stick with it, and in my mind, I am sticking with the same putter in a shinier package... Funny, my brother games a RAM zebra putter and will not change it for the world as he absolutely loves it.
  12. Well, as winter is starting to melt away way up here in Northern New York on the Canadian border, I made what will be my only golf club purchase of the year. Winter isn't over yet, but nothing like a good golf purchase to help melt the snow away after what seemed like a long winter. Just pulled the trigger on a custom Never Compromise Gambler Limited Boat. Will be getting it with blue and cherry paint fills and I cannot wait for it to come in. They finally got the website up and running and I had my order placed within 30 minutes as I have been anticipating this for way too long. I have been playing 2 Cleveland putters the past 2 years, the Cleveland Classic CC3 and the Cleveland VP Series Model 1. I have very much enjoyed these putters, and have been looking forward to the new line of Gambler putters. Made up my mind early this year to only get a new putter and to leave the rest of the bag alone, so I cannot wait to get this to see how it looks. I will post pictures when it arrives. They are stating 2-3 weeks to delivery, so we will have to see whether or not that happens, as it took them multiple extra weeks to get their website up and functioning with delay after delay. Either way, I am excited and wanted to share, especially if anyone else was looking at the Gambler series!!!
  13. I have been using the Sharpro MC for a while now and love them. I change them every year and they are great. I have them on all of my clubs but the Driver and Putter. I got a bunch at TGW and still have a decent stockpile and will be changing them out for the third time now. Just waiting for more snow to melt so I feel like it is actually closer to golf season up here. They are about half the cost of the Golf Prides.
  14. Welcome to the site from another New Yorker. Way up north on the Canadian Border. There is a ton of info available on this site, so soak it all up throughout the winter, and be ready to hit the course again when the snow melts next April!!!
