  1. Cardinal USC magnetic ball marker, of course. Can't wait for football season to begin...
  2. My pops shoots in the low 100's w/ an occassional sub-100 round here and there. He's 57 and doesn't get a lot of distance but lately he's been deadly accurate irons (he just got a new set of Big Bertha's) The great part about this game is being able to share it with him...we talk about golf more than anything. Now, I just need to work on the 2 stroke differential between us so I can take him down for once!
  3. This is my second summer playing seriously and I still a haven't done it. The closest I've come is 102 but I have shot a front nine 49 playing after work. I am playing quite a bit this summer so I'm hoping to post a similar accomplishment soon.
  4. I'd recommend the Maui Jim Sport series. http://www.mauijim.com/webapp/wcs/st...0105_N_2_2_2_N They are polarized and very, very light. I just bought a new pair over the weekend and paid 159.00. I believe they carry a lifetime warranty, as well.
  5. I'd have to recommend the Callaways Women's Big Bertha drivers to you. Both my mom and my wife own the 2007 model and they absolutely love them. My wife demo'ed my mom's before buying hers and it was love at first hit...
  6. Shot 108 at Rogers Park Golf Club in Tampa this past weekend. I'm a high handicapper so that score is within my crummy 100-115 range...arghh!
  7. I've got a wicked slice (really right push) that rears it's ugly head every now and then. Three things that have worked for me...wider stance, emphasizing right to left weight shift on the downswing, and a slightly stronger grip (rotating left hand so you can see two/three knuckles). Good luck.
  8. I'm a C guy. Btw, 195 with a 7 iron?!? Wowser! That is some serious distance. For me, it would probably be my trusty 3h off the tee..
  9. Too funny. I always tell my buddies that if golf was all about appearance and equipment, I'd probably be a PGA tour professional! I'm in the same boat as you...just learning, playing, and trying to get better!
  10. Business Systems Analyst, HR Systems, for Pharmaceutical company BUT I'd rather be retired and playing golf every day, quite frankly. 34 years and counting..
  11. I played a quick 9 after work and shot a 47 (par 36) on the front nine of my local course. Pretty good for me considering I still struggle with an inconsistent drive and am still trying to break 100 on a full 18... Btw, just recently found this forum and I'm enjoying it a lot!
