  1. Are we talking about lessons or a clinic?
  2. If you have time for golf, you should have time for lessons. Getting started on the right path will bring consideralbly more enjoyment to your game, and you will progress much faster.
  3. I picked a Newport 2 on fathers Day at a local pro shop for $229.00. The guys I played with that day had plenty of grief to give about my putting and what they thought was too much to pay for a putter. I've struggled with my putting for as long as I can remember. I've had my days when I felt I was putting well, but I've never had what anyone would call a hot day putting. I played with the same guys yesterday afternoon, and I can tell you, they were pretty quiet about my putting. My confidence on the green has soared, and I attribute that to the balanced feel I get from this putter. It may be psychological, but there is no doubt, my average putts per round is down significantly in the last few weeks. I wrestled with the cost of my Scotty as much as anyone, but after the opportunity to have it in my bag, I firmly believe that it is the best equipment investment I've made, and I could care less about resale. I'd have to be some kind of damn fool to get rid of it.
  4. I use them. If I was using cast clubs, I probably would not bother, but with softer forged irons, I will. I can't think of any occasion when I was slowing anyone down while I removed or replaced them. It certainly doesn't take any longer than with wood or putter covers, and I use them to, for the same reasons. I try to take the best care I can with everything I own, my clubs are no exception. I keep the house painted, and the car waxed too.
  5. I'm a plumber by trade, and work in commercial construction. I hardly think I could qualify as being an eletist snob. We don't have casual business attire, or casual Fridays, so personally, I enjoy the opportunity to dress in golf attire, and that doesn't include cargos or jeans. I also think that wearing proper attire, when mandated, is as much a matter of etiquette as not talking in someones backswing. It shows a little consideration for others enjoyment of the game. I'm also 6'-5", and very few of my shirts are tall sizes, but it's no problem keeping my shirts tucked in.
  6. The last of the Hogan Apex's, and FTX's. Simply put, works of art.
  7. Four. PW = 46* GW = 50* SW = 54* LW = 58*
  8. I'm 6'-5", and my irons are 1" long, I still need to hit them on the lie board.
  9. It appears Tiger is lapping the field, he just seems to be playing a different game form the competition.
  10. Hello, I'm new to the forum, I'm a plumber by trade, I'm currently an outside superintendent for a large mechanical contractor in the DC area.
