  1. You mean its finally going to rain!!??? Its been like 8 minutes since the last storm
  2. Im just happy the 2 morons on the truck were saved.... Oh wait, did I miss something??
  3. I like Kisner, he seems like a cool, calm, collected professional that is going stroke for stroke with the "big" boys
  4. Im with you Desmond....Shame on you channel 5 and the morons tweeting on their trucks!!!!!!!
  5. What I get from this is trying to eliminate "tunnel vision" for almost all amateur players. When focusing on the flag many golfers focus so much they dont see all the other factors that go into a solid score on the hole. I would say its much like shooting pool, a good player always looks several shots ahead. A not so good player just wants to get the ball in the pocket. By aiming the middle and not aiming at a 4'25" hole, I believe, will take pressure off thus allowing a better more rhythmic swing (good tempo)... I also came to the conclusion long ago that comparing myself to a Tour Professional is absolutely absurd. Im simply not even close to that caliber.
  6. You are making a point for getting fit by a pro...Maybe he has no idea where his specs need to be, so you recommend buying something off the shelf. Getting fit is having someone figure out your specs based upon the swing you have now. Down the road you can get your specs changed on clubs if and when he gets better. I dont think anyone should buy off the rack (especially new) without having someone take a look at their swing and the clubs. Easiest and probably most misunderstood would be shaft selection...So many simply buy a Stiff shaft when they have no idea of swing speed, odd to think you could gain 10 yards by going down in stiffness.
  7. Horrible advice!! What does that even mean??? Yes absolutely get fit, make sure all specs are where they need to be. If possible I would do this outside instead of off mats and hitting into a screen. A true fitting might show the fitter needs to adjust lie on every club but differently on every club. You really just dont know... If you have to hit inside due to weather or no outdoor fitters find a good local fitter that has been doing this for a long time. Many people cut corners or simply just dont know what they are doing. Take your time, find the right person, get the right clubs for YOU, enjoy the game. This is for irons, wedges, woods, drivers, putters...everything
  8. I agree with this...I never said anything about others abilities, financial situation, wants or needs. I would simply prefer to spend it in other areas...
  9. Or food, water, gum, etc...Guess I would rather be a decent striker of the ball then look good sitting on my cart. Staff bags arent pretentiousm there just isnt any need for a bag the big and expensive...
  10. I would look at the Titleist AP1 and possibly the new 2014 Adams XTD irons. If you are set on used I would look at the AP1 in the 712 version, you should be able to pick them up at a good price.
  11. I have a mental block for hybrid clubs, I just cant seem to hit them...I love my 3-4 irons and hit them quite a bit off the tee. I recently decided to see if I could find a driving iron to get a bit more distance and control off the tee when the driver isnt in use. I tried just about everything but simply could not find that feel I was looking for. Several days ago I stumbled onto an Adams DHY driving iron in a 21 degree. The club is a mix of driving iron and a hybrid but really sets up and swings like a long iron. I instantly loved the club and have ordered both the 21 and 24 degree clubs....Might be worth checking out
  12. Did you get some before pics to post so we can see the restoration job when it arrives
