Big Dick

Been playing for 40-years. 13-handicap. 75-years young. My natural ball flight has been a draw. Always able to tee up at the left block and aim for the right side of fairway. Most times hit it pretty much in the center of fairway. Been fighting a pull hook for the past couple of weeks and kept trying to prevent coming over the top with active hands. Yesterday on the 15th hole had a thought about spine angle. Bent over a little more at the hips, hit it 230 dead center. Kept repeating that set-up and the pull hook was gone. None of my playing partners picked up that I was standing taller than normal.

Yep, sometimes it would be better to put the ball at a comfortable yardage to get it up and down.

I think Jack is the best. In my opinion if Jack was playing at the same time as Tiger he would have been able to elevate his game to another level. I heard Travino and Jack one time and Travino wondered why Jack's chip and pitch shots weren't far better. Jack replied he hit so many greens he didn't spend a lot of time on them. They both are at the top mentally.

I am a re-tired HVAC contractor. Play twice a week. Except for hitting a few shots with my dad when a teenager started playing at thirty-five. Wish I had devoted more time to golf and less to baseball and football.

Shot 84 yesterday. Greens plugged and sanded a couple days earlier and cost two or three strokes. Had three chips hit plugs and the ball go dead sideways. Played for forty years without a hole in one. Two last year and one this year.
