  1. Anyone had a chance to get a look at the new 909 lineup of drivers and woods? I had a chance to hit them today, very nice. They have three models going for the driver. I have the D2, it's the best driver I've had so far. Just wondering everyone's thoughts.
  2. I use Vokey wedges, have forever. New wedges will always suck back like a cheap barfly. So once you actually decide, don't be surprised if they still dance a little. I agree with the other experts on changing your ball. It could be as simple as trying a higher ball flight, and maybe moving the ball position around for a couple weeks.
  3. I have the YES! Callie, love it. They make a nice blade putter, that's new this season: Nikki. Looks great, bit of a retro look. The Scotty's are a great putter. They are pricey, alot of guys I know took the YES! over the Scotty, simply because it feels just as nice in your hands, and is half the price.
  4. Haven't tried the reelfit. I have a pair of GF II's also. They are a great shoe. My Head Pro has the reelfit's; love's 'em. The Dryjoy PODS, and next years stuff looks great also.
  5. I Play 3 days out of the week. Practice 4 days. Each practice day is an 8 hour event. 2 hours at the range, which is about 3 buckets. Dedicated to warm-up, and then whatever the drills are for that day. Recently it's the shoulder turn, and swing plane with the Driver. 3 Hours Chipping, sand play, 50 yrd shots, putting. The other 3 are spent putting heat on the practice drills. (9 of 10 20 yrd shots inside 6 feet) and other games. Practice is much more productive, and much more interesting with a friend, or competitor. It's a great way practice, while putting the heat on yourself to be better than your buddy.
  6. I play Great Lakes, a Canadian Tour event, and will be playing the Hooters tour this season hopefully. It's great to play with these guys, some of them will make the bigs and you can one day say that you've played with them. Good to see what we're up against. Good luck.
  7. Most people cannot tell the difference. Feel is a word tossed around loosely in the golf world. The golf ball stays on the clubface for a short period of time. A solid shot is a solid shot. However: Technology is an amazing thing, balls, clubs, grips, bags, GPS you name, it helps. Wilsons to Pings? Not the biggest deal if they are both their latest models. Give a nike Cavity back iron to Tiger, and then a wal-mart set. You betcha that he'd pick that out like a sore thumb. Give it to a beginner, or maybe someone less experienced. No difference at all.
  8. Driver - 275 carry 3 wood- 235 carry. If you like the 3 wood, and never wish you had a driver. Keep it going. If you want to improve, hit it further and maybe have more fun, go try out all the drivers, with all the shafts. Now is a great time to buy! End of season clearouts, and most places will be selling their DEMO clubs right now. Our demos usually sell for 35 percent less than what they were new.
  9. I am a Golf Professional in Canada. Have been since I was 18. I go to school for Accounting, and love my job. I am and Assistant Professional in the Toronto area at an older course called Shawneeki. I play a lot of professional events, and will one day play on the PGA tour. Look forward to a good time here with thesandtrap.com CPGA
  10. To be two holes behind is a little much. The issue lies within the group, not an individual. However; to hit a shot to speed up play once the ball is found, or another one is put into play is acceptable as long as you check with your group members. Don't finish the hole without another group memeber there to witness, but to hit a shot shouldn't be an issue. After all, you're trying to speed things up so everyone avoids a penalty, including Gavin.
