  1. I too am interested in the new FT-iQ and plan to travel to a Callaway Demo Day next week for a test drive. The price had me second guessing my better judgement until the "Buy one-get a Sqaureway Wood for $1 dollar deal" was announced. Who knows, I may just go for it and be "guilty", if it truly helps this old high handycapers slice plus I would like to add a new 5 wood to my bag. I guess I'll know better after I hit a few with this club. Good luck to all you other potential buyers, I'll report back.
  2. I don't believe that Malby has measured the Adams A3OS and assigned a MPF rating. I found the Golf Digest a good recommendation for a super game improvement iron reference. I am hoping that Ralph measures the A3OS or the new A4OS. MY wife is leaning toward the Adams A3OS, I'm moving toward the Big Bertha '08.
  3. Good morning Juan J. and thanks for your A3OS observations. I'll check out Golf Digest. MPF stands for "Maltby Playability Factor". This is a reference source I refer to for making a decision on the "playability" of golf irons. My wife and I are demoing irons at this time to make a buying decision. Since we are high handycap golfers, we are considering "Ultra/Super" game improvement irons. We need forgiving irons. Google "ralphmaltby.com" and check out the MFP ratings on most irons, it's some interesting reading. Mr. Maltby has done research and study of golf irons and you may also find it interesting.
  4. I too am interested in any comments about the playability of the clubs. Does anyone know the MPF rating of the Adams A3OS irons? Are they considered a "Super GI " or Ultra GI"? I've not been able to find this info. Any input or comments are appreciate.
  5. Being a high handycap golfer, and demoing a few different brands of GI irons, I'm still leaning toward the Big Bertha '08 irons. They are different looking for sure, (i-brids & very forgiving), but I think I could use them. If there are any other high handycap golfers out there playing these clubs, I'd be very interested in your observations and satisfaction/dissatisfaction.
  6. Interesting subject. I'm considering getting fitted for some Big Bertha '08's and my wife would like to get fitted for Adams A3OS's. (We are both high handycap golfers and have demoed a lot of clubs) So far there is not much pricing imagination when talking to seller/fitters in my area. I would think that manufacturers and sellers would get creative if they have been watching the latest economic news on TV. Just my impression or maybe I was in sales for just too many years?
  7. My wife has been playing golf for a little over a year now. We are both in our 60's and retired. I bought her a starter set of Ram clubs w/ bag for about $120.00. She took some lessons and started golfing. She is hooked on golf and now tries different brands of GI clubs each time we go to the range. So far she keeps going back to the Adams A3os clubs and I suspect that she will end up getting fitted for those clubs. I'll keep you posted. By the way, she got a hole in one on a 130 yd par 3 a few weeks ago. I say it was luck, she says otherwise. Anyway that's one more hole in one than I've got and I've been golfing a little longer that her. I'm also considering some GI clubs.
